bringing back gear

Yep, still in business, still making paddles.

The TPS Pro Stock wrap was very similar to the Rhino wrap Branches used to offer.

Yeah I remember those as well, didn't louisville become TPS at least at the hockey level? I remember having one of the yzerman models white with the red lettering,(or was it red with white lettering?) damn I loved those too.

rhino wrap, that's what it was called, the little rhino near the bottom of the shaft. great stuff

TPS and TPX were/are two product sub-lines for Louisville. In baseball, it is TPX, in softball, it is TPS. Now at the time, there was a TPX and TPS line of hockey gloves, amongst other product.

When H&B were pulling out of hockey, they licensed TPS so that their name was off of it.

the slugger museum and factory here in lousiville is still really cool. Havent been in a few years but last i went they had a few wood sticks around the museum, ill have to have another look. I also remember the big to-do about bionic glove technology. That was everywhere for a while. I think its just mostly batting gloves and powerbilt golf now, but for a while all the sports stores carried only tps bionic gloves around here.

TPS was also baseball back in the late 80s

Left to right: Easton Pro Niedermayer from Devils days, Branches and Christian custom for me. Branches was so much more consistent than Christian ever was when doing custom blades for me. These are late 90s.

Cooper Techniflex gloves, I have always loved these gloves and still haven't found a pair I like as much.

Agreed! I loved my Cooper Techniflex gloves. I actually still have my pair, they are pretty beat up though. I also agree that I still haven't found gloves that I like as much either.

I recently just picked up a pair of all Black Nylon Cooper Techniflex gloves from a friend of mine. They are literally brand new, I still need to break them in. I went through two pairs of Techniflex back in the day (a pair of pro return Travis Green from Isles and another pair in Hartford Whalers colors), it was so hard to part with the Whaler colored Techniflex gloves but the smell and just how beat up they were made me retire them. I'm just happy I could unearth another pair of these gloves. No if only I could find a pair of Daoust skates in my size...

I saw that a couple of guys posted about bringing back Bauer Vapor 10s. I saw a new pair earlier this week in a shop I stopped into for about $250. I think they were 10D. PM me if you want more info.

Damn, as much as I loved those that's still pushing it price-wise. I think I cleared out a closing store before moving back here for 2 pairs for $200.

Some of my friends have been able to negotiate a little on skate prices at that shop. I'd bet that they've been sitting there with the same price tag on 'em for some time. I still would have picked them up if they were the right size.

I would love to skate in another pair of black and gold Bauer 5000 skates from 98, and the Vapor XXX Lite stick is still the best stick I've used. Wish I could find a pair of fresh Nike Ignite 1 pants; that's what I currently use and they're about in two pieces.

Hi to all on my first post. I just started playing hockey again after a 32 year "sabatical". I wish I could get a pair of Lange skates. Back in the day, it took me months to save up the 130 usd for them. I wore them until they would no longer sharpen them. Back then, I could never find anyone to change holders or blades. People laugh about them now but they were a great ,comfortable, and sturdy skate. I wound up buying a pair of Reebok 7 k due to my big toe box. Nice skate, but really miss those Langes.

Definitely CCM (Super/Pro) Tack skates.

I'd also be happy if I could get back my pair of Pro Tacks that I foolishly traded in for new skates about 1.5 years ago.

dauost 301 super's, first gen with the "D" logo at the front of the boot

ccm pro-pac girdle (far better then the first 2 generations of the cooperall girdle)

while we are at it, cooperalls

clear (not translucent) Tuuks

Titan hockey sticks (I think they would be owned by RBK now, since they ended up as part of Jofa/Karhu at one point)

Donzi (pre-easton buyout) shoulder pads

sherwood 7030 stick

Christian black magic stick

kangaroo leather Roo's before cooper got a hold of them

I was making my list and then I saw your post. You literally covered everything I had. I really miss my Donzi's but I wonder if I would like them if I wore them today.
