I really would have thought he'd have tried something else out in training during this season for when this situation inevitably arose? Bad time for this to happen, but he must have known it was a posibility.

I can understand his frustration but he can't blame his gear. There are tonnes of options for sticks. Have someone book you some ice, and get out there with all of them. Borrow teammates, figure it out. Why would you go through 11 playoff games (12 tonight) without addressing the situation? And yes, he is a professional and we would expect him to to be able to transition but we all know pp is a huge factor.

That being said, he still has 8 assists and a goal, which is just behind Lidstrom if I'm not mistaken.

i dont understand why theyd stop making the stick if a pro requests it. it makes no sense.

i know in soccer most major companys(ie adidas, nike etc..) will use old soleplates and upper materials along with the same fit as the older model shoe but with the new shoe design, even if the player is under contract with the brand and is one of their star players.

The CNT is COMPLETELY different then the S17... I used to use the CNT Heatley RH 85- still have one sitting around... Then Easton Discontinued the CNT, I tried the S17 and the weight wasn't a factor, but the shaft feel and stick handling were WAY off from the CNT... Like someone said.. the CNT is a lot like the XN10- concave shaft= GREAT FEEL. I tried tons of sticks...S17, SE, One90... and finally Bauer sent me a One95 and no stick compares... he should get on the train that Ovie is on and try out a One95 with the 'cole' curve... same thing as the Heatley... if that's what he uses?
