I thought someone posted a while ago that its just a prototype? regardless, that looks like eastons polished steel that was discussed :)

It's not a proto.

It is somewhat of a hybrid skate if you will.

What is it a hybrid of, a pair of S15's at an innertube from a bicycle tire?

it looks that way..

My friend had an early prototype of the EQ5 without logos or anything and with Tuuk holders and loved them. He said they were the best skates he's ever put on. And another guy on my team got the newest version of the Skates with the logos on and the new Easton steal I guess.

Is there any info on this skate anyhwere?

How is the fit compared to the s15?

Judging by the fact that SyNergy is in the skate's name and the S15 and SE16 aren't the same fit and that we're on year 2 of the SE16 cycle...

It's not a proto.

Mixture of composite and foam.

Maybe they are the new bauers? 0ne100?? It seems there the only company that seems to go to great lenghts to hide there equipment. Hence the patches.

The answer has already been posted and this stuff is getting old. Posts are going to get deleted if this keeps up.

Chadd not sure I know what you mean. Can we not talk about the skates???

So this is the new S19 skate coming out one year after the S17 came out? SWEET!

I already posted what they are and we have had a confirmation that they are not Bauer skates. Talking about the skate is fine, just bring something other than random speculation to the game.

No.

S17 is a STEALTH skate.

SE16 is a SYNERGY skate.

Thats the new Easton skate

EastonEQ5.jpg

Looks pretty sharp

Easton is still a fighting a steep uphill battle in the skate world.

"Keep diggin'. "

Maybe It was just the red wings, but I definitly noticed a lot of easton skates from 2002-06. I wasn't paying as close attention as I am now , but I definitly remember seeing yzerman, lidstrom, and guys like Doug Brown in eastons.
