is there a rule or something that the first year players need to wear ear pieces, I noticed Crosby, Kane, and I think Toews have them.

i think during the year they wear em to...so its prob just a personal preference.

It looks like the logos are taped over.

The IOC has a rule about the logos, they need to be smaller than what they are in the NHL. I'm guessing they taped over the ordinary logos instead of buying all new gloves.

The goalie from Norway the one who was stopping anything within 2 meters of him in the first had the NBH logo spray painted over in black. It was horrible looking because he was wearing white pads <_<

Nothing wrong with them but everybody else is showing up with custom high-end sticks and gloves and the Chinese women were clearly using '08 model retail gear (5k gloves too). Just a whole different level of sponsorship and national focus.

Yeah i just noticed that also, it seems to go pretty high up. I have never seen them wear it. Ovechkin also has a wrist guard attahced to the bottom part of his right elbow pad, he used to have two per elbow pad a couple years ago but he just has one on the bottom.

I noticed several players (in all three games today, I believe) using Sherwood sticks. Any chance these are from the new T line that's been mentioned on here?
