This makes not once but TWICE, this season, that the Blackhawks are prominently featured with something they haven't won since 1961. The intro to NHL 10, and now a mural. Pretty awful attempt at a nose too.

As a Pens fan who witnessed the crosby influx of people, yeah, probably. I like that we are winning finally, however, most of these fans that come out of the woodwork are bandwagoning people who only care about either individuals when they are on the ice, or only care that we are putting W's on the board. Washington has had this massive influx of people like this, too.

Being a fan of a team when they suck, seeing them transform into winners, kind of sucks in the sense that you have to deal with all these new fans who only care about Crosby (in Hawk's case, Kane/Toews) and only cheer when they do something, instead of being happy for the whole team everytime, regardless of who is on the ice.

It is sponsored by them, but there are a few who do use Easton or Warrior or Bauer sticks. Players MUST wear their gloves, pants, helmets, and 10ks come standard, skates can be whatever (so most are bauer). With sticks I think its if they are Reebok they are free, if they aren't player has to pay out of pocket. Not sure though. But easton/warrior/bauer sticks do exist in the AHL.

I was under the impression that if you are on an NHL contract, you can wear whatever you want. I wouldn't be surprised if Abdelkader is in that boat.

Sounds right, it was just weird that when Abdelkader is in the NHL he's in all bauer, but when he went down he wore CCM and reebok.
