I heard from someone here that its a marketing tactic to expose the 7K more. If it is then I think its very clever. Reebok knows that ppl wont be able to afford as many high end sticks anymore so they decide to promote their midpoint sticks too. Ive also noticed more of these ~$100 midpoint sticks gaining mmomentum everywhere:

- This new 7K is ~ $120

- Bauer's X:40 is ~$100

- Sherwood's T90 is ~$130

Too bad those aren't in canadian prices hahaha mid end you expect to pay about 50-80$ more for those :P

Warrior tried to do this, having players use "Shoguns" and "Royales" a couple years ago.

I've seen Witt using a hitmen recently as well

yea I live where he was on rehab in the AHL and they had one up for auction. It felt lighter than a retail hitman so it was probably a dolo with the hitman graphics

Yeah, I have a feeling it's not actually the 7k, but a 10k painted. However, that stick is a very sharp looking stick!

My bet is that it is a new stick that Reebok is getting ready to unveil. Bergeron moved to the X60 from the 10K so I'd be surprised if he decided to go back to the 10K. Smart money, Reebok 11k to be released around the holidays.

Tackla cross check protection.

Also saw Michal Handzus on the Kings sporting one. Anyone know where to get one and what is it called?

ohhh, I didn't see the X:40 being mentioned I mistaked it for the X:50 but besides that I think the most over priced midrange stick would be warrior.. The reeboks were decently priced the 8k was around 180 as well as the 6.0.6 not sure about the 7k.

Ive also seen some Riddell football rip pads used by nhl players in the past. Most commonly the type used by college quarterbacks around their torso below the shoulder pads. For someone I remember seeing them on a Red Wings player last.

Although it's nothing at all like the back pad in the above photo, Under Armour is coming out with a padded (in the sides and back and grip print on the shoulders and arms) shirt this summer. It is similar to the Nike Combat line.

Reebok has the Triple Impact, but it only offers rib and wrist padding. I love it though.

Just picked up the warrior lacrose rib guards 70 bucks. I haven't gotten to use them in a game yet but the seem to be the perfect setup to protect the ribs and lower spine area.

Wow, the same pic I posted a week ago with crappy music. Cool.

Well, he did add the music. You on the other hand took the easy, musicless way out :P

But seriously, I thought it was like a real review of the stick or something on youtube
