Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 There are rugs/carpeting with team logos, as well as pool table felt.A company out of Arlington, MA (I think) makes good-looking furniture out of hockey sticks.Someone posted a thread here of the modifications he made to a bubble hockey game. Actually, I'm not sure if it was actually bubble hockey or has another name.Photos on the wall of iconic moments: Jim Craig with the American flag draped over him. Bobby Orr flying through the air.Mounted jerseys.

Rayzilla 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet, but the room will not be compete without posters of the Ice Girls from every respective team, especially your favourite team. If you are unable to collect each of the posters, then the actual girls will do. ;)

Tikkanen 1 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 No hockey room is complete until the era of the trade of the Great 1 to LA is recognized. http://www.sportsposterwarehouse.com/detai...89nike_htm.htmlDoes it have anything to do with Buffalo? No, but it's Gretzky in turqoise wet shoe thingys.
kredmore 2 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 Equipment Storage - Locker RoomWhile not exactly what you are looking for, this may help. It's from a previous thread, and we made an extra basement room into a locker room/play room.
chippa13 1844 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 Were I to do over my basement, my idea was to have the door to that side be a penalty box door, rink gate with glass above, complete with the press-down latch to open it.
chk hrd 164 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 I did my kids room as a rink, white board all the way around with a red top trim dasher and yellow kick board. The top part is painted Avalanche Blue so it looks sick with all of his hockey memorabilia (mostly Avs stuff). And as an added touch he used to shoot knee hockey pucks and stuff of the boards so they are scuffed up like real boards.

Jarick 5 Report post Posted September 1, 2009 Bubble hockey would be outstanding.I'm not big on the idea of broken hockey sticks and shafts as furniture...although I would happily hang up an auto'd stick.Framed jerseys/pucks/etc would be nice as well. Plus pennants, posters, all that stuff.Big TV / stereo / speakers and all that.Personally, I'm going to build a locker big enough for my equipment and my kid's (assuming he plays when he gets older), just a simple one made of mahogany, a nice stain, and a brass nameplate. Add a little stick holder on the side. Should look really nice.

Then after the game he abruptly burst into sobs and had to be sedated.
