Bauer X:60 OPS Display

Recommended Posts

I was in Pro Hockey Life yesterday and the photo was with Eric Staal instead. He was rockin then new "unknown" bauer helmet..5500-esque

I can't wait for that to come out either

Yeah, there's been a photo of that in the gear sightings thread. Shell is very close to the 5500, but the padding looks like the single layer VN from the 3500.

At least the one he was wearing then was. They might have made him wear the real deal for the photoshoot. Does the photo have an angle where you can see the padding?

Yea, I think I was the one whose posted the photo on that helmet!

And can you see if the helmet on the display has the same padding as the one in the photo? Like I was asking in the first place?

The rolleyes was for Staal using the single layer VN, not for you...

First thing I thought when I saw the glove was techniflex hehe. I especially like how they are going with a more conservative graphics package.

just a really bad one :P

Are the gloves coming out at the same time has the stick ?

No.

Is there a tenative date for the gloves?

If I had to guess, April/May when the first Bauer gear for 2010 is released.

Some dealers like gloves that aren't solid colors. Some travel teams don't want solid color gloves. There will always be the option of both. I like when the Blackhawks wore a red/white/black glove. I can't imagine the Canadiens or Rangers wearing a solid color glove.

not a big fan of the design, the weirdly angled backhand part is ugly. They could have done much better. Oh well, gotta see them in person to be able to fully judge them.

I don't see why soo many of you seem soo down on them. They kept a graphical package that will probably sell for the masses(Although personally, I dont like the graphics) while using a 4-roll design which will be more protective and is more "normal" than previous Vapors. Slanted backrolls work on TPS and Eagle, why not Vapors? Sure they're a bit more extreme than Eagle/TPS gloves but it's less extreme than the current Vapor design. A pro stock glove with a blended-in(black on black, for example) graphic will look phenomenal.

Seriously, look at the previous Vapor lines, the X:60 is rather simple in comparison.

And the X:60, Imagine them two-tone instead of three.

While this may not be the glove for everyone and no glove is, this glove has some great features, fit, and feel that no picture can transfer until you try it on. Gloves designs have been dynamic for quite a while.

guess I'm in the minority that likes them. If there's a black with white trim at retail I think that'd satisfy the simpler tastes like mine, but not a bad looking mitt in my book.

Yeah I have a pair of One75's, they look really odd until you get them in a single color. The black glove with the white embroidered logo pops really nicely. The X:60 should do the same.

I don't mind them, don't like the usual color scheme, but then I prefer my gloves to be solid black, I'll probably end up with a pair. I just still wish it were a possibility to get the Stretch-Wrap Palm from the Supremes on a pair of Vapors, just personal preference over leather.

For me, it's the cuff. The glove looks good until the cuff starts, and then it all goes wrong from there. And for some reason that color scheme you showed reminds me of the union jack.
