Reading those exerpts reminded me of a funny story:

Around June of 2008 Theo had contacted my company in hopes of meeting with us to create a business partnership. I'm assuming this was right around the time he had decided he wanted to get back into training for his comeback with the NHL. (I work for a hockey training company for those who don't know). Anyway, The CEO, VP and the EVP of Corporate services flew out to meet him at his home in Calgary, and that was about as much business was done in the entire trip.

First off, he wanted $400,000 dollars from us. In return Theo would have a camera crew follow him as he traveled around North America visiting our Franchises and trained to get back in shape. $400,000 dollars to really use his name (as no TV deal was in place yet).

Second, it wasn't long into the conversation that Fleury had a rant similar to those mentioned above. My bosses were shown to his conference room where they waited for him, and instead of entering the room to show off his Stanley Cup ring and Gold medal in a humble fashion, he slammed them down on the table and told them that he "is a team player, because he makes teams great." This continued into a "me, me, me" opening dialogue that made sure they understood just how great he is, and why were even lucky to be talking to him. He was constantly reminding them that he is a small kid who overcame every obstacle with no help from anyone else, and that is why he so valuable to everyone.

Needless to say a deal wasn't done in the end, as our EVP of Corporate Services reminded him "he isn't Sidney Crosby."

I just saw that on TSN. Piece of shit is living and working down there.

Mexico has no Sex Offender registry and since our shit head government decided to pardon him...there is no record of his crimes anyway.

You should have seen how polite he was with the talent. Apologizing for them coming all that way and he wouldn't comment. Hey, I can think of a few people he might apologize to and Bob McCown isn't one of them.
