Recommended Posts

I wont be buying them, but I think they look really nice. shame about the holder & perforated steel <_<

yeah..shame about the holder.. by the way, i think the black one is looking good. maybe better than the white one (never see it closely though)...

I agree, I think the black looks much better.

i find it funny how savard gets 11k's and then blacks them out, when you look at pictures of savard you cant see the pump, maybe his skates are a mix between ccm and reebok... who knows with the pros

Bruce Richardson from the Nottingham Panthers (British Elite League) has been wearing these from the start of the season.

Are they 11Ks? Or what are they?

He wears some pretty sweet Warrior Franchise gloves too with a yellow 'pinky' stripe ;)

something about the feel of the pumps, made the 9k's my favorite skate. It feels weird that when wearing my U+ reloaded that their isn't a pocket of air surrounding my ankle. It's the durability of the pump itself that worrys me about these skates. The pumps on my 9k's broke in less than a year.

I've had the 9K for over a year and so far(knock on wood) I haven't had any problems. However, I do only pump mine 4-5 times on each side. Even then sometimes I don't even pump it and just tie my laces tighter which in my personal opinion gives the same effect. To me the pump is an extra, I could do without or care less if it stopped working on mine. I like the 9K's as is. I might try a future model in a year or two once mine have seen their last sessions.

I know this doesn't have much to do with the 11K, but since people were commenting on RBK's...

I'm going into my third season of my 9k's, never had any pump trouble at all. Im skating on these things 3/4 times a week straight and using them for everything. They are pretty beat up, but as far as pumps, the pumps still both work fine. Tendon guards arn't great though, due for a new pair for my birthday.

Did not know this skate existed until I had the chance to see it and try it on briefly at Just Hockey in Toronto today. To the untrained eye (I am no expert) they seemed noticeably lighter than the 9K Pump (I own a pair) and "softer" (thinner boot?) out of the box. The narrower heel area was also evident. Felt like a different skate than the 9K. Think the store had stock to sell at C$699.

After a year and a half, one of my skates started losing air pressure back through the pump. The pressure would be gone after 15 minutes of skating. I know it was the pump itself that became defective and not a leak in the bladder because I immersed the inflated skate in water and saw air bubbles coming out through the small hole at the center of the pump. Never again will I buy such a stupid gimmick.

hahaha, tell me about it. One of my tendon guard is just connected by the liner. I really cannot figure out how they break, I DO NOT push or pull on the tendon guard when taking on and off my skates. The crack would get longer and longer right after the game, so it was during skating.

I do have 2 theories thought, I do have "football calves." 2nd, I think due to the fact that RBK's are slightly forward pitch you are one your toes, which sometimes makes your legs, ankle onwards, lean back (over 90 degrees) which pushes the tendon guard causing it to crack. That is my 2 cents.

It's likely one of two things:

1. You are getting excellent extension and toe snap on your stride

2. You're back on your heels
