tips09 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 For me it honestly depends what mood i'm in. Its always good to see the action close up and "Feel" the game per say. The great thing about the higher up seats is like many others say you can see the play develop and stuff like that which is also a cool thing to witness. I feel more "hockey people" enjoy the higher up seats as for the most part they can appretiate how the play develops and such a bit more then the average person
JR Boucicaut 3797 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 When I go to TBL games I usually sit 4-6 rows behind the net, directly behind the goalie's shoulder.
DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 Unfortunately, the one NHL building where it didn't matter where you were sitting, it was a great seat, was the Montreal Forum. I sat down low at the Forum and in the last row upstairs at the Forum. You could see everything anywhere you sat in that building. No better place to watch a hockey game. Big Glove Save 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2009 Any OHL game, go sit in the corner with the NHL scouts. That is where they all watch the game.Must be a scout rule...that's where they sit in the AHL as well. Actually, anyone of notoriety sits in the corner. Hershey has a section in the corner for "team" tickets. Wives, girlfriends, parents, scouts, etc... all get put in the same section and they generally don't make those tickets available to the public. I've been given tickets for that section for reffing their "rink of dreams" games for kids before the doors open for the real game. This was going to be something I would add to the discussion as well. We would often notice players and people we thought were scouts often seated in one of two upper level sections during our past IHL franchise games. Of course you could see some in the suites but players who were "scratched" from that night's rooster would often sit in the same section in the high corner of the arena of their defending goal. I know everyone has their own perspective and thoughts about the experience of seeing a game live (not sitting on a couch in front of a tele) but I have never understood why someone would want to sit right on the glass behind the players bench. I have always thought those are the people who are not there to understand and see the game. We had seats once to see The Red Wings at Chicago. Probably three rows from the very top of The United Center behind the attacking goal end. Terrible, terrible seats. That's when I made a concession with The Lord. I said, "Lord, I vow to never sit behind the goal again if you, on this day can just give The Blackhawks this simple victory."

Jordan 13 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Oh, about 12 rows from the glass, on the side/corner near the face-off circle...prefer seats 1 and 2 on the aisle watching the Leafs in the ACC... that's where my seasons tix are ;)

fieldofdreams 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Anywhere in MSG, but preferably in the 400's, with the crazies. Even if the Rangers tank the game, those guys make it fun!
Hockeyman11385 1 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 15-20 rows up near center ice sounds just about right to me. Close enough to feel involved but far enough back to be able to see the whole thing. I've been 4 rows from the ice at the Bell Centre and it was almost too close. It's sweet when the play is in your end though.
Conrads6 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 300 Level at the United Center....nowhere better. The fans in the 300 level actually care about the game....the rest is just fashionable. It doesnt hurt that there isnt a bad seat in the house there.
jcp2 2 Report post Posted December 11, 2009 What the hell, two pages and no one has said "the bar" yet? Goddamn people...Bar, couch, on the bench (as player). Not a big fan of seeing games "live" in any sport. I've got other things to do.

Skoda10 14 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 I like the company's suite best of all. Since that only happens once maybe every year or two I generally like to be somewhere mid-level, in the corner or on the end.

Wolfpack_1986 154 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 i've sat first row, i've sat last row for NHL games... i can appreciate each spot for the views they have... had season tickets up high n the ends, in the corners, and now mine are cornerish about 20 rows up. i think those are my favorite. SidCaeser 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 I sat 5 rows behind the Red Wings penalty box once, and those were awesome seats. I sat in the nosebleeds at the United Center, and that sucked. We were at the face-off circle. I was in Columbus a few weeks ago for work, and I picked up a ticket to watch the Blue Jackets, on the aisle, 2nd row of the upper level in the neutral zone. If I were to purchase season tickets, that's where I would get them. These seats were close to the restrooms, concessions, and zero distractions. No one getting up and walking in front of me.I would like to sit behind the players bench once to see the interaction. All I know is beer league bench banter.
