While talking about pitch, what pitch do LS2s have? Is it -1?

I also read somewhere that Custom+s were -2? Is that true.

And finally, what stock pitch do E-Pros have?

I picked up some TOs today. I found that they actually fit better than the One100s/One95s I had settled on before and it would be worth the extra money. That and I got a great deal since I bought a heavily discounted One95 that was warrantied with a new pair of One100s and then my shop let me just pay the difference between the brand new 100s sent by Bauer and the TOs. So I ended up with TOs for less than $550 out of pocket. :D

Anyway, if anyone cares and is into counting grams, I weighed the TO on my postal scale and compared it to my Graf G70 and my one One95 that wasnt sent back to Bauer.

TO is 1 lb. 8.2 ounces or 686 grams

One95 is 1 lb. 10.2 ounces or 743 grams

Graf G70 is 1 lb. 14.8 ounces or 873 grams

So the TO is .4 pounds lighter than the Graf and .125 pounds lighter than the One95.

Bauers are both size 7 2E and the Graf is a 7.5 wide. Both have 163 holders on them.

The weights are cool, its not why I went with them it was all because of fit for me, but thought I'd pass it along cause I was curious.

2 Questions........1) When you guys talk about "lift" are you refering to putting a piece of fiberglass or something under the holder on the back of the holder.

2) What do Ls2 holders have....what pitch? -1?

Thanks for all the help you guys and gals have given me!!

As I stated before my Totalones got baked with the inserts in which according to the directions is a no-no. My question is if I go back and have them baked a second time, do you put the inserts in after they bake and before you put them on? Or do you not put them in during the process at all?

Also any recommendation from Bauer on whether the inserts should be taken out between skates? I know Darkstar said he planned on taking his out. I always remove my insoles so taking these out if recommended in no problem.

I did skate once on these and I found toward the end of the game I was getting soreness on the tops of both feet. I took out the MID inserts today and they are curved but not creased. I put in the STIFF ones and plan on seeing how they feel at public skate tonight.

No inserts at all during the baking process.

I take my inserts after every ice time. I find that by the time I get home they aren't exactly flat so I pull them out and just lie them down. Within a day they're flat just from gravity

I picked mine up yesterday and when I took them out of the oven I tossed some inserts in to keep my tongue from forming to the laces and it worked out just fine, insert looked the same after as it did before.

Saw these skates in person for the first time today. I was amazed at how light they are, and even how much lighter they are than the One100's...

so going by memory is this he correct baking procedures?

1) preheat the owen to 200 degrees

2) throw one skate in (no superfeet, no tongue inserts)

3) 1.5 min later throw another skate in (no superfeet, no tongue inserts)

4) 1 min later get the first skate out, put superfeet, put tongue insert, lace up

5) another 1 min later do the same with the second skate

6) stand for 1 min

7) sit for 10-15 mins or until skates cool down

JR - could you please confirm? (I'm not 100% sure on timing for steps 3-4, I recall that the total bake time is 2.5 min, but what was the correct breakdown between the first & second skates?)

Thanks!

for One95 it's been discussed many times - the answer is yes, to ensure you get the most value out of the process - the boot cools down fast, so dealing with both skates at the same time isn't a viable option.

I'm pretty sure I still remember the procedure correctly, only the timing between the skates might be off - hence my question for JR

So I did a 2 hour stick time on the skates this morning. The stiff inserts did not give me the ache I got last time on the tops of my feet. Don't know if it was a lacing issue last time or something with the MED inserts since they got baked with the skate. I'm not sure I'll ever know because I liked the stiff so I'm gonna stay with those. BTW I'm 5'10" and 170lbs if that gives any reference as to which inserts should be used.

The liner in these things is amazing. After a 2 hour hard skate they didn't even seem wet. My old One75's would have been drenched after a skate like that.

The boot seems to have a little more room in them then my One75's so I need to get used to how much I need to tighten them so they don't feel loose but also don't pinch or ache. Today was pretty good but felt a little bit loose.

One thing I find is that I can't use the stock Bauer footbeds at all. They are way too thin for me up front so I get pain in the balls of my feet. On my One75's I bought some memory foam insoles and cut them to fit and they have worked great. Only thing is they tend to be heavier then the stock ones. I looked at some superfeet insoles but they seem just as thin up front.

Any ideas? Is there something thicker up front and lighter overall I could look at? Anyone else have pain in the balls of the feet?

Sorry - I don't meen to discourage you right after a new purchase, but I wonder if there's just too much volume for you in the new skates now?

One75 fits like One90 which was a fairly low volume skate that worked best for slim type foot with a low instep.

One95/TO on the other hand has ample room that needs to be filled up

so considering how different the fit is between these 2 models if one of them fits then the other won't for instance I personally couldn't even put One90 on, but One95 was perfect?

Finally got a change to try TO on - this created a confusion: I was under the impression the sizing stays the same from One95?!

And yet it appears that maybe the liner is a bit thinner, but somehow the skate feels almost .5 size bigger?

I say this because just for fun I tried .5 size smaller skate then my One95 & all of a sudden was able to put it on, while before in One95 my foes are touching the cup & there's just no way in hell I could even put a half smaller One95 on?!!

Any thoughts?!

Length seems to be identical to the One95 as I have a One95 and a TO insole and they are identical in length.

However, I did find the TO to be slightly wider than the One95/100. Maybe they use a different toe cap and it has a little more volume in it.

Had 90 straight minutes of ice time for my first outing with the TOs. First skate I've ever had were I had no pain or issues, it was a big shock to me to say the least and they felt like they were already dry when I got home. I'm very impressed with the skate, definitely pleased that I went with them.

I can echo these thoughts, I also find the TO to be slightly wider (nothing that will affect anything though).

Wore the skates for about 4.5 hours on Saturday with Reffing. Went to the Stiff inserts instead of the X-Stiff that I had been using. Still not sure which ones I feel better with. While the skates haven't caused me any pain I did find that I hadn't done my right skate up tight enough, and didn't get a break between games so first chance I got I wrenched it up as tight as I could. Wasn't a good idea as I had it way too tight and ended up putting a lot of pressure on a couple spots on my foot.

Good news to this though is that when my One95's would create any pain, it usually lasted for a day or two on my ankle. With the TO's that pain was gone the next day, hopefully won't return tonight.
