When I joined corebeam I had probably two pairs of gloves, three sticks, two helmets and one of everything else. Now I have a wall of sticks, 35 pairs of gloves, about ten helmets and three sets of everything else. And that's after a fire last month caused me to lose about 10 sticks, 10 or so pairs of gloves, two pairs of skates and 5-6 helmets.

I was actually going to post "I thought I had issues, but then I look at Drewhunz stick collection or TBLfans gloves and say, it's allright, you are still ok"

I've thought about it, and after several request pm's I've decided to suspend updating pics of my gloves and sticks for the time being.

Photobucket account got deleted and it will take all day to get another pic retaken and get the fear put away.

I'm not as bad as some of you guys. However, after a pick up game a few weeks ago a guy said to me" Dude, do you work at a Hockey Store"? I asked him why. He replied, " you got nice gear". It was at that moment that I realized that I am a budding Gear Whore. Have to keep myself in check :o

Yeah a buddy of mine has almost half a garage full of hockey gear. Fortunately for him, his brother's on-ice employment (NHLer) allows him to reap the pro-stock benefits, so he doesnt necessarily feel the financial pain of actually having purchased 10 one 95 sticks or gloves or whatever lol What's so funny about it is that the guy beaks me of all people. Go figure.

Yea... i kinda felt it was a habit when I broke into the 20s of the number of sticks I had... now its down to a manageable dozen or so.

At the height, it was 6 pairs of skates, 8 pairs of gloves... down to 4 pairs of skates, and well, 8 pairs of gloves.

So I'm surfing the online hockey classified ads which I only do every 20 minutes or so and I spot this pair of old Jofa gloves for $10 in mint condition. So's I swing by the guy's house and pick 'em up even though I don't need gloves. They just looked "kinda cool". Then I think , "I should start a glove collection" .Please dear God, someone intervene here before it's too late.( I wish you could sell your blood in Canada)

yeah, me too.. and to add on, there is no pro shop here to add on to any stuffs i've got... so i believe i am the most pathetic one

2xgloves (over 10yrs old and still wearing)

4xsticks (also over 10yrs old except for the replacement blades)

1xCCM shin guard (6yrs old)

1xelbow (also over 10yrs)

and just got my new skates... 1 week old!!!!

maybe if anyone need storage space, can send over to my place!! haha

Although, I think some of the pictures people have shown of their stick collections has really helped me with the girlfriend :P

All of a sudden my 9 sticks don't seem so bad. Stupid pro stock sale at National Sports probably means I'll be adding another one too.

To my credit, I'm trying to part with a few in the marketplace, just no bites :P

So I was sitting there watching tv with the gf this weekend and TLC has this new show called Hoarders or something...she looks at me and without even saying it I told her to shush it

I got up and walked to my mancave and told my sticks that they're safe and no sticks would be purged

:lol:

If I hear "Did you buy another helmet???" again... :lol: I've only got 4! Sheesh!

I have 12 lids, 5 pr of Eagle gloves,3 sets of Goal Leg Pads, two sets of catch/blocker, 2 goalie helmets, 4 pair of skates (1 Goalie), 4 Pr Bauer EP1000 elbows, 4 pr pants, (1 Goalie), 4 team sets of jerseys/socks, plus all of my personal collection of about 30 jerseys. Haven't really gotten the Stick Whoring bug..just usually enough to get me by. I just blew up my 2 10K pro stocks and am left with 1 XN10 Pro stock, so I might be perusing Drew's sale when it becomes available, or JR's Lightning inventory.

Thankfully I'm nothing like Drewhunz, TBLfan or half you guys with stick collections lol. Ironic part is I'm probably one of the only guys whose girlfriend encourages him to get new stuff. Other than my 3 sticks and 2 pairs of gloves I don't think I'm only out of the ordinary because of how little I have. I do keep every broken shaft/stick I see which is a little unsightly.

That said it is new skates day today and we'll see if a stick happens end up coming home with me today as well.

That should be easy enough. Buy OV's skates and get OV's stick! Don't know if anyone besides Prohockeylife has that "special event" on though
