There was a huge article on THN mobile site today. Going to be auctioned off and all profits goes towards research. Orr was personally effected by cancer, a teammate and close friend passed away from it at the age of 18, so he wants to as much as possible to help any type of cancer cause.

I was at a store that used to carry hockey stuff today and they had these same gloves still hanging around.

EQ50 skate

I was going to start a thread today asking if anyone saw this new skate. I noticed it in the Mike Cammalleri: Control Freak EQ50 Stick Youtube video

Yes I spoke to the easont rep from my area and she said that cammallaris skates are infact the new EQ50's. She had a photo on her phone of them, they look a lot better that the video photo. Full composite outer with the eq tecnology inside. Looks very sold

A teammate of mine came in last week with a Jonathan Toews pro stock Total One stick, fresh tape job of his and everything. As we were checking out the blade of it, I saw the textile stopped and at the fuse point a new smaller textile pattern on the blade. Is this just a repainted stick or could he have a custom blade on it? I would have a picture of it but he broke it off a nasty hack he took during one of our games over the weekend. He's supposed to get in 2 more so hopefully I'll snag a picture with it then.

It cracks me up that guys like Zetts and Heatly are always in these new skates in the videos but come game time they always go back to old faithful.......

I can say that I'm still a fan of the old S15 skates.

It may not be a true Total One, it may have the Total One shaft and a One95 blade, it could be an X60 shaft with a One95 blade. If you can get the code on the stick it'll be a lot easier to tell what stick it really is.

How about Taylor Hall wearing the skates in the promo's and X60's in real life.

I don't get how Getzlaf is still in a Bauer 4000 helmet, despite in the S19 promotional video he pretends to put the demo helmet in his jacket so he can take it because he likes it so much. Doesn't he get paid a fee if he wore the helmet? Skates I can understand wanting to stick with Bauer, especially if he's worn them for years, but not wearing the helmet seems strange.

NHL players are extremely picky about their gear, and they don't change unless they feel it will improve their game. he may not actually like the S19 helmet enough to have it replace his 4000 that he obviously really likes.

I wish they could find one that fits his head though. seems like he got stuck with an extra small size.
