Which skate is the best?

Which OPS is the best?

Which gloves are the best?

Which jock/cup/combo is the best?

Basically, except for the OPS, it depends on the size of your package!

The Reebok 8k is my helmet of choice, though I wore some variant of the Cooper 3000 for at least a decade (among them, the Bauer 3000, Nike 4000, BNH 4500, etc.).

Currently I wear an 8k to play, and I have an Reebok 8k and a Bauer 5100 for refereeing. The 5100 doesn't fit me as well as the 8k, but its nice for refereeing. The 5100 has really nice airflow, and while it doesn't fit me as well as the 8K, I have really only taken a good spill a couple times while donning the stripes.

Jofa 690 is my bucket of choice. It fits, it is light and I have never felt any sort of head aches frfom hits to my noggin. Now if I they only were still available.

Currently wearing an S17, but the M11 was way more comfortable when I tried it on, so I'll be switching to that one next.

I just bought a Bauer 9900, and while I haven't worn it on the ice yet, in the store it was easily the most comfortable helmet I've ever tried. I wanted to buy the 9500 which seems to be at blowout pricing at some places, but had to buy this one as soon as I tried it.

The M11 is the most comfortable helmet for my noggin and that's why I'm wearing it. Aesthetically I preferred the old Nike (similar to Bauer 4500) helmet I had years ago, but that thing was too narrow for me and hurt my head. The Mission Carbster is another helmet that is pretty comfortable for me, but also isn't necessarily the best looking helmet.

I have been wearing Jofa helmets since 1995. I think the Jofa 390 was incredibly comfortable but really heavy. I'm on my second Jofa 690 and I do really wish I could buy some new ones. The 690 fits my head the best out of the helmets I've tried on ( I haven't tried any other helmet in about 5 years) and they are relatively light. I've never had any protection issues with any of my Jofa helmets.

My first helmet when I was 6 was a standard CCM(Like what Avery and Guerin use) but for the last 12 years I've used the 5000/5500 and love it. This season I switched off between the 4500 and 5500 and I must say the 5500 is more comfortable and seems better when gettin hit in the head.

Love the 8k helmet, fit is perfect and haven't looked back after getting rid of my bauer helmets.
