Bauer TotalONE stick

Recommended Posts

my one95 felt like it had no grip, but once I started using it more and more it felt like it was getting grippier. On another note I've had my TOne for almost 2 months now and I love it, if you thought the one95 had great puck feel then you'll love the TOne.

Interesting. When I had it in my hand it felt slightly smaller and less boxy than my One95 which I love.

I never had a One90 or a One95 so I can't really compare. I just know from reading other comments that people say the Supreme line is more boxy. It's defintely more square and fuller in the hands than my X60.

but how much grip is too much grip? the other side of the coin is you'd get people complaining of too much grip (ie, the new 11k stick)

I saw an 11K demo and didn't think the grip was too much. But then again, when you have gloves on, the tackiness can be more pronounced.

I like the grips of the X60 and even my SE16. The grip is all over the shaft, thin layer and wears in nice over time. Even with a little moisture from ice and sweat in your gloves, you still get a good feel. That's good grip. Not so much that your hands can't slide during a shot, but enough so that you can grip onto the stick too.

The griptac didn't do that for me. It was the spiraling effect. I like the grip all over, not just in sections.

So I guess the total one has some mixed reactions? It's kinda weird not getting the latest Bauer stick as a I usually do, but I'm happy with 2 95's and a Base stick coming soon. The type of palm can definitely affect how you interpret the grip. I had the X:60 grip, with a thicker 9k palm it was totally fine. With a thin ivory nash of the 10k pro gloves, it was a lot to handle. And 96, the shape of the Supreme and Vapor line are very different. So don't think too much of it.

Used it this morning...very nice stick, I just prefer the overall feel of the one95. I play roller and the one95 has a "sharper" feel for the puck for me at least

Anyone try the One100 stick? It seems very One95 esque to me, this may be helpful for anyone who liked the feel of the One95.

I think I am goin to buy one this week so I'll have input on it soon.

After the first skate with it im really impressed. Coming from an x60 this has much better puck feel. I really liked the feel on the one95 but to me it felt a little blade heavy but this might be because i started using it after i got my x60. The totalone to me seems to be the best of both worlds, very well balanced and great feel of the puck. My slappers felt faster and more powerful but snap shots didnt seem to release quite as quickly as they do with the x60. Overall im really pleased with it and excited to get back on the ice with it.

What are your thoughts on which stick to buy... This or the X:60? I am more of a playmaker type, not really a dangler. I like a stick that will help me make accurate passes and have control of my shot. I don't have a very hard shot, but an extremely accurate one. I mostly play center or right wing.

Whichever one I get, I'm going to start buying two-piece sticks. I hope the TotalOne shaft/blade is as good as the OPS. I'm tired of tossing sticks in the trash because of a broken blade. All the sticks I've broken (minus one I broke over a crossbar) have been snapped blades. This is getting expensive and the fiancee is not happy about more $200+ sticks in the garbage. :)

Just saw them. The One100 is indeed very similar to a One95, except lighter and better balanced. However, it has the same Aero Core II as the X60, so it may not feel like the One95. And the TotalOne feels exactly like the lovechild of a One95 and X60: squared larger shaft shape, lighter blade, and slightly stiffer than the equivalent flex on a One95 (the 77s now feel like they are closer to the old 87s on One95s.)

I gotta say, I wasn't impressed by the retail colors of the TO, but the id versions blew me away. But does anyone know why there's an "Ea sports" version?

they signed a deal with ea for nhl 11 i'm guessing, didnt the preorder bonus give you bauer stuff?

They did a preorder bonus for NHL 11 that gave you a custom stick in those colors to use with your character.

I am currently on the MyBauer site and was just thinking the same. The yellow is the Supreme line, I know, but some other colors look GREAT on this stick. Especially some of the different countries (I really like the coloring and flag placement).

Anyone know how much a MyBauer version of the TotalOne would cost? Every time I try to go to "purchase" to see the price, it says there's a server error.

Speaking of which....the Bauer iD P89 curve has me all curious....is it a P88 with a square toe? If so...come to papa!

I am trying to order my Totalone right now through myBauer and I have a couple questions 1. If I just want the retail, non-grip colorway for the stick, do I just choose the "yellow color" option or do they not offer the retail colorway on MyBauer? 2) As far as grip goes, it seemed like the for the one95 the most popular option was the tactile woven grip, will this continue to be the pattern for the Totalone or have players just switched the full griptac?

thanks

Columbus Blue on MyBauer looks soooo nice

Definitely, I really like the Teal and Columbus blue. Plus I love, love, love all the Country/flag color schemes. Russia and Germany in particular.
