Who do you guys think the most overrated and the most underrated players at each position are? Base this on the past 4 or 5 seasons.

G - Marc Andre Fleury + Roberto Luongo (hard for me to decide here)

Underrated:

C - Nicklas Backstrom

RW - Claude Giroux

LW - Brandon Dubinsky

D - Kimmo Timonen

D - Tobias Enstrom

I missed it but CBC was going to have the results of an NHLPA survey. 300 players were surveyed on various topics/rankings. During the first period They talked about Erikson coming up a lot from other players as underrated.

Maybe surprising to you guys, Luongo is voted the best goalie (technically: toughest goalie to score against, or something like that).

Crosby is voted very high in most skater categories.

Marc Andre Fleury overrated?? He's won a cup! He's not going to be Tim Thomas winning Vezinas, but when all the marbles are on the line, he'll get the job done!

Toby Enstrom here in Atlanta is very underrated, even Byfuglien has said that. Then again he was supposed to be an Allstar this year but he broke a finger blocking a shot.

Hope thats a joke, you never hear people praising him. He's a great two way player and I personally don't think he gets enough credit.

Sometimes. He has incredible ability, but likes to give the puck away, and wait for defenders to drop in front of him to block his slap shot. In the playoffs last year, he just stopped turning it over, and he was great, maybe deserved the Conn Smythe.

This year I don't think his performance has been at an All-Star level.

The year they won the cup, he deserved the conn smythe award instead of Malkin. When he's on, he is very, very good. The problem is that he can be streaky, but the same could be said of a lot of good to great players over the years.
