Easton Stealth RS Stick

Recommended Posts

used mine for 2 games last night. It is a good stick but i think someone mentioned it earlier, its whippy. i got the 100 and i wish they had a 110. The 100 just feels to whippy. and that could be why i felt the blade was twisting in some shots.

My snap shot and wrist shot were quite good, slappers were still strong but I dont think I could get as much on it as with my TO. Once easton brings a 110 and a few more blade options I think they will have a pretty decent stick.

The grip is nice and I like the dimesnions of the shaft. I felt i had a good hold on it and it sits nicely in your hands.

Overall a decent stick. Lets just see what kind of options eventualy come out. right now its limited of course with the launch

SyNergy. I've got a bit of intel on it.

Are they going back to the old school line? And/or is there anything else you can tell us at this time?

I played my first game tonight with my new retail RS. Coming from an S19, there are a few noticeable differences. The most noticeable was that the RS blade seemed much harder. This might be because my S19 is old, beat up and soft... but maybe not.

I didn't get to practice that many shots in the warm up, but my wristers seem hard, while my slap shots seem a bit off. I'll need to get more practice to get my slap shot back with the RS.

The RS is less blade-heavy than my S19, but slightly more blade-heavy than my S17.

All said, I just broke a scoring slump with a 2G-1A game using the RS, so I'm happy! I still have to get used to the new feel.

Tried the new RS tonight @ drop in. Feels great, one of the better feeling twigs from Easton in recent memory. Didn't get to take alot of shots but very responsive taking and recieving passes.

Possibly on the ice Wednesday. Will update after a little more time with it.

JR, do you know if there are at plans at Easton to make the SyNergy stick more of a true one piece instead of the fused design?

I know too. chadd's statement sounded misleading.

He was asking about stealth series sticks so I limited my answer to that. Sorry if there was confusion.

No problem. I think Easton is amping up the competition in the market with the RS. Should be a good season for players to find new choices in OPS.

That's my contention as well. I've used a ton of Easton pro sticks over the last few years, and every single one of them that was a repaint - without exception - have denoted what they 'actually' were on the barcode sticker.

Oh, and having picked up and examined a retail RS, count me among those who didn't own a RS. Not the Mueller and not the Letang for sure. They're definitely S19's, despite whatever the sticker said. And even the game-used Krecji that I picked up isn't the same as the retail RS. I'm not sure what it is, because it isn't a S19, and it isn't a ST or SE16 either. Its a mystery.

I got my retail RS today. The sticker on it says made in Mexico. If the RS is the evolution of the S19 why the change in countries that make the stick? The S19 was made in China

First of all, i don't think you're correct. Second why does it matter? Will the same technology and materials be different in china versus mexico?

He's probably referring to the outsourcing. Honestly, the whole gambit makes no sense to me, you gotta think that they are making a boat load on these sticks. Bet they are making $125-150 on a $250 Stick, pathetic.

First of all I am correct read the back of the stick it tells you were it is made! When a company changes the country in which they manufacturer their top line product - there is a reason whether it be cost or manufacturing issues. I was just curious why the change

Have any of you used the totalone as well? I am looking to get an RS but as of recently I have really started to like the totalone in terms of shooting and stickhandling. I just wonder if my money is better spent on another totalone.

Ya...they are not making $125 - $150 on any of their sticks, the margin is thin on sticks. Skates on the other hand....

Costs in China are going up and you have the inevitable intellectual property issues. Some companies are starting to pull production out and even if that isn't the case here, Easton does have their own facility in Mexico.

Pathetic to me is when people spout off constantly about things when they have absolutely no clue what they're talking about. Like you in this case.

Tell us where all the 250 goes then? Distribution? LHS? Tariffs? Na, $270 with tax is well worth it.

It's up to each person to decide if they want to pay a given price for a stick, I've made my position quite clear a number of times in the past. Speaking of the past, we have had a number of topics/discussions on stick costs. This is neither the time or the place to have yet another rehashing of the topic.

Back to the actual stick now:

Got my two RS's in. I originally ordered four, but canceled two as I have something in the planning stages that needs a bit more cash flow.

85 Flex, Grip, Heatley curve. Mmmmmmmm baby.

Used my retail RS tonight. Hall, Grip, 85 Flex.

Overall I am pleased. Puck feel has greatly improved over the old stealths, way less pingy. Shooting was good, nice pop on slap shots, wrist shots, and snap shots. Passing, receiving and giving, was good.

Not to mention the stick is dead sexy.
