I actually thought it was pretty cool. There was not a lot of skill there, but it was almost like we were trying extra hard because we could've been in his line of sight. Never got the chance to ask why he was doing it, though.

GoPro only makes a couple of models. I have the HD 960. It's great. They make a 1080 but I've heard it will freeze from time to time. Contour makes a cylindrical version, it's not too bad one of my skiing buddies uses it but he likes the video quality of the GoPro better. Both are around 300 bucks for the camera.

Guy had one in a pick up session a couple weeks ago, has his head down and runs into another guy. Ended up needed a dozen stitches. They have no place on the ice when people are playing hockey.

My bro tried his new GoPro out at a pickup game we played on the weekend. It's really cool! I got to see how I look from other players point of view. Also when I set him up for a goal from behind the net, I got to admire my beautiful pass over and over in slo-mo.

One other thing that was fun, is listening to the stuff said by the guys on the bench. It's like you're right there playing.

I don't think I would try it in a league game, but for a friendly game it was a lot of fun.

Where do guys normally mount them on their helmets and how do they mount them?

The guy I skated with had it right above the CCM logo on his helmet, but I'm not sure how he kept it there.

Same location as Xuno said. It came with a strap harness that went over the helmet. The mounting point was on the strap.
