I do not know if it had already be mentioned, but I heard on the CBC feed of the WC that Lundqvist is using the new T1 Customizable Goal Pads.

Best part was when the other announcer calling the game commented that "all the hockey dads and moms are cursing you for making their kids want these new 1500$ gear"

Haha yeah, first time I've seen the rod system. I wonder what the difference would be if you take a puck to the rod area vs an empty area.

Lundqvist is not wearing the TotalONE retail pad. They're the same pad he's been getting made since his TPS days, but with the TO graphics (and graphics for the rods)

Unless I'm missing something, it was pretty clear Henrik was wearing it for his WC pads. They literally removed the rods from his pads and talked about them.

I'd like to see that; one of the pictures taken from the game shows one of the "rod" holes looking smaller than the other "rod" hole. That makes me believe it's just a graphic.

"His" pads doesn't mean his pads. Why would he have to fiddle with stiffener rods when they are custom pads?

But I don't mind being corrected, naturally.

CBC featured "a" pad with the rods being demonstrated, not Lundqvist's exact custom pad.

If you inspect closely in this picture ( http://a4.sphotos.ak...074699560_n.jpg ) you can see that the insert tabs aren't even able to be opened, as you would have to undo the binding to have access to the rods.

Not so mention that a visual observation of the rest of the pads would allow you to see that his pads are extremely different than the stock pad.

What binding would have to be undone? The point of the rods is just to slide into those little silver holes. The holes are pieces of material there but not really to hold anything in. At least from the few seconds of the video I saw looked like that.

I know Lundqvist doesn't wear a One100 or TotalOne pad, but the design could be easily incorporated to even look fake. As you could just put foam roads that don't actually affect the pad itself.

On the retail pad, you don't just slide the rod into the holes; there are two flaps that overlap the binding that, when opened up, reveal the area where you can insert the rods. Once you get them in, you close the flap up to secure everything in there. On the actual pad that Lundqvist was wearing, there is no piece that overlaps the binding to show where the rods would go in, so in order to remove a theoretical rod, you would have to undo the outer binding that is holding that part of the pad together.

his s19 bucket broke by the vent in the back side. looked like florida's outline with the south tip the end of the vent and the top border still attached, the rest bent in. if that paints the picture for you.

Lubo's gloves look like those Warriors that Patrick Kaleta was wearing a month or so back.

That's what I was thinking of. I believe it was said that they were just a custom backroll design.

I'm inclined to agree with Chadd. Still, I'm kind of surprised (and maybe even a little disappointed) that they didn't go the whole nine yards with the white a la Easton Mako and S19 Pure. As a Calgary guy, I think I'll probably just go with Germany colors on MyBauer anyway (when and if the Nexus is released to rave reviews), but an all-white stick might've made the decision that much tougher.
