Yes, the RS is actually going to be released this year. We were told in Vegas that it was being held back, but now it has been shown to dealers.

I have some pictures of them and will put them up at some point.

In teh Spring issue of "Fully Loaded" magazine (the one with Joffrey Lupul on the cover), there is a picture of the Easton RS skates in an article about new hockey equipment/products.

JR, by 'this year' , do you mean a Spring release, or Fall?

Either way, if they kept the fit the same as previous Stealth skates, these very well may be my next pair!

So I'm guessing the RS won't feature any MLX technology?

It won't be sold in every store; they are going to be allotted to certain dealers. I can't comment on the fit, however. I haven't seen them in person, nor have I received any official information from Easton on the matter.

No. Whatever Dave Cruikshank is working on, it won't be this year.

I think we'll see them sometime mid to late summer if I remembe right.

I saw the skate and its pretty nice. Unfortunately, it was very much the wrong size for me so I cant comment on how it fit. However, it is pretty nice. Has a really nice feel to it, is quite light, the liner and foam is also quite nice.

My rep said its not going to fit quite like the Stealth line and the construction and design is a total departure from the previous carbon composite boot. Its designed much more like the EQ.

 The Stealth fit is basically tailored to my foot, hopefully it won't totally adapt to Synergy, even though the two are similar. Thanks for the response.

Dont look at what I said as gospel because I couldnt try the skate. But since its moved from the composite boot he said it will change the fit characteristic a bit.

I can feel pretty confident is saying that you should really like the ankle padding in it then. Its quite substantial and seems to have very good molding properties to it.

I was impressed with the skate. I think it will do well.

Hey, as long as they keep the wide forefoot, narrow ankle with prominent ankle padding, I'll be a happy camper.

I went from S17's to EQ5's without much trouble. Hopefully these fall somewhere in between the two. wish there was a touch more ankle padding in the EQ5's
