Stealth RSii

It is an improved RS In my opinion.

The blade is much more responsive and MUCH more durable. Just a very solid blade and the puck feel is spot on. You always know where the puck is on your blade. You can receive and handle passes very nicely too.

The shots with this stick are rockets. I have even more juice behind my shots than I did with the RS! The shaft snaps a little harder, and does play a little stiffer than the rs so you might want to consider going down a flex.

The blade durability is insane. Much improved over RS

I would like to get other people's comments on the flex. I cut my sticks down 4" from 60", and I use a 85 RS right now. It seems perfect. Going down to a 75 sounds like too big a jump but I'm always open to try new things. I like a little whip, but that seems like it'll be a noodle. Can't imagine they stiffened the thing up that much. But I guess it's happened before...

Anytime the word insane is used outside of a clinical sense, it's hyperbolic. There is nothing "insane" about compressed woven graphite, no matter how long or short it lasts before breaking. Arguing word choice isn't going to further discussion of the stick.

Thanks, professor.

My point is that I'm surprised anyone is blown away by a stick lasting 3 months. Obviously it's a question of one's frame of reference. I've never broken a stick, so I'm surprised that there are people out there (aside from pros) that are churning through $1000 to $2000 worth of sticks every year.

Given the setting it's being used and how quickly other top end sticks broke down. It's not hard to see why people are impressed with it's durability.

One of my buddies is an ambassador for Easton so I got to try out his stick (after begging for awhile). I loved it, not any drastic changes with the shaft, which is fine because I really liked the feel of the original RS, but there was a huge improvement in the blade. The feel was great and even though my buddy has been using it for awhile the pop was still there. All in all i really liked it and am definitely keeping my eye on it.

See this is all really interesting to me. I tried the new RS at Summerjam and despised it. I took a couple shots and then switched back to my 9 month old original RS.

The kick that the old RS had was gone. The feel felt completly different. I'll admit I didn't really give the new RS much of a chance, the old one just felt sooo much better!

Woven Kevlar shaft and a re-engineered blade for increased durability and better feel is what I've read.

Yup, as opposed to wrap.

OT question : whenever I cut down mid/higher end Easton sticks, there's some fluff-like material left at the end, is this the Kevlar wrap?

I am interested in seeing reviews after 3 months of regular public use. I hope the blade improvements and being woven add some much needed durability.

Thanks guys. From my experience with high end sticks, I had never had one last three months. The Bauer Total One lasted 1 month, the APX lasted 1.5 months, the widow lasted a month, the original RS lasted a month, and the RS II has lasted three months and still going strong.

I agree 3 months is insane. The hacks the banging the force in corners digging for pucks the sweep checks the invariably end up with a skate gouging or a toe STOPPING your sweep cold. I am impressed. I highly recommend swinging by a higher level Jr program and just watching the practices. The amount of "puck on stick time" and use is really insane. Its like a stick and puck deal 100x at 10x the speed. Constant action. Not saying the OP is at that level but the fact he is rolling with a new stick 5x + a week should tell you he isnt farting around in a beer league 1 night a week touching the puck 5 times in a 45 min session

I was just wondering why the original rs was not recalled and instead they came out with a new one? smells fishy. My best guess is that it was purely a money move? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The owner of my LHS. He told me they were making another RS around 6 months ago and when I would tell people they acted like I was crazy.

I heard about that too about 4-5 months ago so I get your point.

There was no reason to recall the product. That would have been an incredible waste of money compared to simply releasing an improved version. I can only recall one product ever being completely recalled by a manufacturer in the last decade or so.

Did bauer recall all their sticks that broke in the lower hosel? Nope, just continued to make sticks that break in the same area, and continue to break in same area, model after model. No recalls. Pure money move? You are wrong.

Was it the same stick length, curve and flex that you used on your original RS? I find changing any of those can make a massive difference, even with the exact same model of stick.

Which was?

Christian Torchlite. Every one they sent us broke within the first few days. Eventually they just told us not to sell the rest of them and gave every customer two of their other sticks.
