Warrior Covert DT ST/LT Stick Lineup

Recommended Posts

Probably not the first person making this transition, but I decided to switch from the Easton V9E's to the DT1LT plainly because of durability. Using the dt1 in the past offered blade durability like nothing else. However, the durability on the new V9 line is AWFUL!

Three sticks in less than a month. Step your game up, Easton. Really disappointing to buy a stick for 270$ only to have it snap and crack open on the blade within a week. Thankfully it was on warranty, so I got it replaced, but I do not plan on buying them any more. Hopefully the new warrior DT1LT is better in that aspect. Really just a shame on Easton's part.

Thank you warrior for carrying the E28 pattern, or else I would be stuck with Easton.

Thank you for giving us a shot. Hope you enjoy your DT1LT!

I just ordered a 2012 dt1 and I thought I would be getting the upgraded blade with it, hardcore x, carbonized, aramid sole, etc. It arrived yesterday and had the same blade as my dt3. Is there a reason junior sticks don't get the better blade?
It also didn't mention junior sticks didn't come with that blade at all in the description, so I think it would be good to let consumers know because I was under the impression I would get that blade, otherwise, I would've saved a little money and just purchased another dt3. It was also missing the small plastic end plug. Is there anywhere I can get one of those?
Thanks

The DT1 Jr does have up-spec internal blade features but made for jr players. Unispar instead of twinspar(little players don't need super stiff blades), HardcoreX, Aramid sole, No Carbonized to keep blade flex. The major difference and benefit you get with the DT1 vs. the DT3 is weight reduction and improved recoil/kick due to higher modulus carbon used in the construction.

Only the 75 flex senior sticks are 60". The 85 and 100 flex seniors are 63".

Correct...only 75flex is 60". 85 and 100 are 63"

Are the lengths different on the 55 and 70 flex intermediates as well?

We have a couple of Intermediate DT1s with 70 flex that we got a really good deal on. My son was using a Jr. DT1 but broke it this past summer. He was using the 70 flex DT1 as a stop gap while we waited for the new stick releases and a Jr. Bauer TotalOne with 50 flex after he broke his arm. We were torn between the 60 flex Apx2 and the 55 flex DT1LT. He decided to stick with Warrior. Just got the brand new Intermediate DT1LT in 55 flex yesterday and was surprised to find out that it was basically the exact same length as the DT1 in 70 flex we had cut several inches off of.

DT1LT:

70flex is 57"

55flex is 55"

Hey Warrior, another big shout out to making your Jr sticks in a 40 flex. My 10 yr old uses the DT5 40 flex with the W88 curve. This has to be a near ideal Jr flex and curve. His back up is a Bauer 45 flex P88 but you can see his shot is better with the Warrior because the difference in the flex is substantial and he can actually load and lean into his shot with the Warrior and let the stick do some work. The Bauer is pretty stiff to be called a 45 flex. I really don't see the Perron curve in Reebok being that similar. Something about it isn't the same. W88/P88 pretty close. W88 slightly less rocker but curve pretty much identical. Good job guys. I like the approach to flex and stick length in the new line. I think when people catch on to the benefit you will benefit also.

Thank you very much stljrs.

We are proud of our stance on offering additional INT and JR flexes as a "step up" program for youth/junior/int players. With the benefit of Dagger Taper Super Low Kick (intensified by True1 construction on all price levels) more kids and adults can get enjoyment and performance out of their sticks. We are also seeing increased sales in our 55 and 40 flex sticks by dealers. It has taken a little time, but the concept is catching on.

Thanks again and spread the word

My daughter is using a Widow right now in 40 flex and it is starting to get a little ragged. Has anyone gone from the Widow to the DT1LT? I assume they are similar with improvements made.. although I am not sure where the improvements are. The Widow has been the best stick she has used thus far (Easton S19, Easton RS, CCM Crazy Light). It has improved her shot, ability to receive a pass, stickhandling and has been as durable as all get out. She claims to like the feel of it when carrying the puck. Can we expect more of the same with this stick?

Thanks!

DT1LT is your best bet for a replacement for her Widow. You'll find that it's lighter, more responsive, and kicks harder.

Keith,

Has Zetterberg changed his stick lately? Watching lately I havnt noticed any of the markings on the hossel area from either dt1 or the white dt1lt patch. It's very visible on the Shanahan ceremonial puck drop from tonight. any info if he changed something up or if it's just taped over or sprayed?

IIRC from seeing his sticks around here, he does black out the bottom on them.

It Looks like that, especially bc I don't see any graphics, but I think during last year's playoffs and early this season I saw that patch. I would also wonder if it was tape as I used to tape down there to cut out some.of the abuse from faceoffs and if I had to grab low.on the shaft.

Yes...he spray paints the bottom of this sticks.

I wonder why. The answer to that is probably wrapped up in the why do NHLers do all their odd routines enigma

my guess is that he either thinks it gives him a peripheral advantage, or is of the camp that it hides the puck on the blade more. judging by how far he goes up, Id think its the former.

Just curious, does anyone know the blade length differences from Warrior? For instance, they describe the W01 Burrows and W14 Chara blade length as short, so how does that compare to a medium length in their line? Is it enough for the average person to really tell the difference?

And since I'm asking, what are the affects of using a short, medium, or even long blade type?

Thanks!

Would anyone mind to update use on the DT1LT compared to the 2012 DT1? I absolutely love the kick on the DT1 and was wondering if the DT1LT improved it more? Also, how is the blade pingyness on the DT1LT as opposed to the DT1?

Probably not until summer/fall of 2014. I know, bad news, but not in my control.

Well we appreciate all of your information. It is not a requirement for you to post here, but it is greatly appreciated!

Not too sure what to think of the DT1. Have not tried one. I was using the Dynasty AX1 I have had since March, and it is honestly the best stick I have ever used. It was a cut above the OG gold grip Synergy and the OG Dolo grip, my prior 2 favorites. The balance was great, it was light but not so light that you couldn't feel it, and launched rockets. Our team got moved up a level this winter, so we are playing better competition. Last week it went down in a blaze of glory. 2 goals and 2 assists in its final game through 2 periods, may it rest in pieces. I have had a ton of people talking about Base, but I happened upon a good deal on an AK27 one piece Andrew Brunette pro stock. Used it last night, 3 goals and a helper. ALL HAIL!
