whats in your arsenel

Recommended Posts

I find the 19curve to be a tad different playing wise from the usually Sakic clones, what's your take on it?

yeah, it's a bit different from the rest. Not a very good clone. I cant precise anything but the P19 felt kinda off for me, and i didn't get any good feel with it. But the shots were ok.. I tend to shoot very high with a Sakic on wristers, so in the aspect of shooting, the P19 was a better for me....

If you want a real Sakic clone from CCM, you'll have to go pro-stock.

You can only play with 1 stick at once, and its all about how you handle what youve got.

Unfortunately for most of us....we NEED more than 10 sticks sitting around collecting dust.

wow, im assuming some of you have spent more than $1000 us dollars on sticks?

All I is a used vector and a wooden stick incase the vector breaks

If I spent $250 on a stick, I doubt that would make me much better (though I'm not a very good stickhandler to begin with)

a lot of us buy pro stock so that $250 retail stick is more like $100-$130 or find good deals.

For example:

Pro stock TPS Response lite - $130

Pro stock TPS Response XN10 - $80

07 retail CCM Vector 8.0 - warranty replacement - CCM v120c - $65

I'm sure there is plenty of us that have upwards of a few grand invested in sticks(not counting broken, disgarded sticks)... There's no problem owning just two sticks or even just one. I personally like to prepare a couple sticks in case I break one and I'm really picky, so I'd rather buy something extra so I have time to trade it or prep it before I need to use it.

These are in the stick bag in my car, but I have used the R2 XN10s almost exclusively for a while. I used the Sundin for a while but the R2 is brand new and I've only taken a few shots with it in warm ups.

R2 XN10 R flex P31 blade x2

R2 R flex P31 blade x1

Response+ S flex Sundin pro

Several of mine have been a steal. For example, the XXX lite I just got was $46. It had been taped and that it. Found it in the Euless Star Center.

One of my Inno Novius was a pricing mistake, $119 tag, the guy rang it up at $59.

But yeah, lots of us have more sticks that we'll ever use. Me personally I like the looks of most of them, my wife buys shoes, I buy sticks.

I agree, non-Warranty sticks are the way to go.

I also, won't buy a new stick until I sell one of my old ones. I don't make enough on the sale to off-set the cost of the new one, but I feel better about personally.

If I have a decent stick I know I won't use, I'll sell it to a teammate for a really good deal.

Cuurently, the Main 3 in rotation:

Mission M-1 (85) Leopold 1 blade

Mission L-2 (85) Leopold 1 blade

TPS XN10 (87) Pro Stock Stu Barnes

As much as I love the TPS Barnes, I think it's going to be hitting the For Sale section soon. I'm having a hard time going back to blades that are that open. Shame too, because it's a really nice stick, and I wish I could use it the way it's meant to be used.
