Guys, everyone has their opinions, and this is a venting thread. Speak your mind, and I dont really worry about the criticism, unless it becomes racist then thats a different matter altogether. And just to clarify that the sun in Australia is very harsh. My family is asian, so we dont really sunburn easily, but when you I've known so many who have had melanoma it gets you thinking. - he didnt pack the sunscreen because he's a procrastinator. He keeps saying that he'll do it, but forgot to do it even with constant and numerous reminders - he knew it was going to be a really hot day, and he was going to be playing 3 games in a venue we've never been to before. It wasnt blazing hot, but hot enough for every other family to be in the shade - we explained to the coach who was fully supportive. He said he would have done the same to his own son, otherwise discipline just goes out the window. Fast forward to this week, sunscreen is perpetually in the bag. He knows that if he forgets it again he will have to bear the consequences.

Why not just get the Makos (if they fit you), skate on their stock radius/steel. Then if you don't like the pitch, just have them profiled then and have some of the pitch removed with that profile. This way you don't have to dick around with lifts or reprofiling. I wish I could get $100 for a profiling, I'd be rich!

Why one over the other? I have no knowledge about either, but wouldnt it be easier to just make changes to the blade, rather than alter parts to the boot? (and cheaper, since profiling is supposedly 15-25, and lifts cost around 30?) Also by profiling, I can have 2 different blades, so if I really end up not liking it, I can just put my other blade in. Whats the disadvantage to profiling (besides maybe making the blade weaker because its skinnier?

Marketing for a skate that won't hit the stores until June only makes it harder for retailers to move their current Mako skate inventory.

3 degrees pitch total on the mako, Vapors do not have a 12, they are a 9' from factory. But yes, changing from a 12 to a 9 would be very noticable.

He has done things that have contributed to peace. But has he done enough to warrant the prize? I just dont see it. I tend to think that prize is won with specific actions or work in a specific area or problem, with specific positive results. I think this was awarded on a "feel good" basis. But hey, I dont think this prize has all that much credibility anymore......I mean cmon.....Gore and Arafat? LOL
