I don't know if the holes lineup and haven't been able to find the answer, but reread the thread here on the holders and they allow for a quick change of steel without the steel becoming loose in the channel (this can happen with the Edge holders over time): So while I don't like the front and back dimples they seem to be well designed holders with excellent steel. You may just want to stick with them, ignore the aesthetics (how many people are really staring at your holders during play?) and save the cost of having new holders put on.

I'm actually liking the subtle design changes from VH to True. Not a big fan of the VH holder but that's easily resolved with a Tuuk holder instead.

That's probably what I'll end up doing. You know, they aren't the worst holders I have ever seen.

But you haven't tried it so you can't say that it's a problem. Graf Sidas insoles are formed to the feet, not to the skate footbed. Their purpose is to bridge the gaps in the footbed, not fill them. It makes more sense for the insole to hug your foot than your skate. You can't have both unless your foot is exactly the shape of your skate's footbed or unless the speedplate varies its thickness to fill both the gaps in the sole of your foot and gaps in the skates footbed at the same time, which it does not. Wicked3Aussie makes an excellent point.

I emailed them a couple of days ago to check if the new skates would only be available from a True Fitting Center. They confirmed to me that the "old" tracing method would still be available.

Was told I played very, very well today. I didn't feel like it, honestly. Slowly recuperating from my lung infection, I've managed to swim and work out a tiny bit this week, but hockey is a whole 'nother ball game, and I feel like I'm going to regret playing later. I also thought my counterpart was getting hailed, while I saw far fewer shots. I did feel like I did better on the angling thing, after watching a couple of good videos on youtube to get a better visual sense of landmarks, etc. I also got my skates sharpened on Monday, which might have helped. (I'm one of those folks who gets their skates done about twice a year, maybe 3 times). Thirdly, at the same time I got my chest protector, I bought a set of Flex-Toe ties to try. It just about took an act of God to get them on my pads, but they were pretty easy to use and they stayed in place. I don't know if I feel a great and glorious miracle has occurred by wearing them, and I need to do a bit of strap-adjusting to account for them, but I like them so far. They certainly aren't inhibiting my play. I'll consider their impact over the next few weeks in game-play. So far, so good.
