    I didn't end up needing to do an alignment but we did settle on 2mm shims front and rear. He also added a small 1mm piece of foam to the outside heel of his insole and he seems happy with everything.

    I have the splash guard and it's certainly not what I thought it would be. Envsioned hard plastic. This, as discussed, is pliable, clear vinyl. Didnt bother at all. It fogs but its so low it doesn't impact vision. Doesn't cover all slots but you do need air. I guess I'd say it mitigates "some" risk. I'm begrudgingly ok with it. Hate wearing the plastic bubble tho... oh well.

    Its gotta be the "Starting Goalie" that CGY had to factor in when making the contract. Otherwise, I agree with you. Definitely feel the amount of years is longer than I'd like. Would it make sense to bring Fleury back? Unless Jarry/DeSmith can't handle a 82 game season together? I think a vet 'tender makes sense but wouldn't the Flower require a decent price tag?

    I wear 13” in alpha and 14” in true Xc, Bauer supreme, qrl, etc. alpha just seem a bit larger than those, FOR ME.

    Lots of interconnected pieces. You said you found out the cause of your hamstring pain, what and how did you determine what it was? Skating isn't a real balanced activity and can affect muscle groups in various ways. There can be a causal chain and finding the root cause of something can be a process. Definitely starting with the basics mentioned in this thread would be good, strength, flexibility, and mobility. You can focus on the areas you are having trouble with but should it should be a whole-body process. Foam rollers and lacrosse or tennis ball rolling are great rehab/prehab activities. It can be tear-inducing but worth it. Also, you said you are working out. What are you doing? What does your week look like between practices, games, and additional workouts? Lots to consider. 16? Wait until your are in your 40s or 50s, stuff hurts and the only reason is you are in your 40s or 50s!!!

    Pierre Kezdy, bassist for Naked Raygun and Pegboy, two of the greatest punk bands in history, NRG probably the greatest IMO. Been listening to them for over 30 years.
