I put several of my son's teammates into those the last couple of seasons. You are correct, they were Trues first venture into the stock skate market. They appear to be the same build as their customs at the time. Nice solid skate. Typically will come mounted with their first proprietary holder (will have the same hole pattern as Tuuk) and Step steel. I would probably choose them over a pair of TF7's personally.

I am not sure if that is a positive comment, or a blistering, underhanded and brutally severe insult in the grandiose style of Mark Twain at his most cutting.

Yeah I read that in the old Sprung thread. I use a can of dust off to blow out the dirt after every game, and I take them apart to clean every season of indoor. Not terrible to maintain imo

@Miller55, I definitely have the newer A6X (just called the A6, but the X was used before the launch). I used to have the OG A6 and the new rocker arms are way more durable than the old ones, but the front part of the chassis itself eventually gets friction wear if you don't clean it all the time. It may take several years for some people, but I was reffing a few nights a week and some tournaments on them, in addition to playing at least once a week, so I probably put more wear on them than the average person. The A6X on my OG Makos probably saw 3 years of use and now are quite loose where the front rocker arms are installed (they easily move back and forth by hand). The ones on the M7 were only used for about a year before everything shut down due to COVID and are still quite snug. I think using the R1's outside and saving the Sprungs for indoor play is a good plan. I'm glad to hear that Keith is still working on the Fizix chassis and I hope they're mass produced sooner rather than later. I agree that those on a monocoque boot would be amazing. I'd definitely order them.

First skate with the new wheels is in the book. Generally, I like to try new skates at public skating or stick time just to get a feel for them. I didn’t feel like waiting. I left my other skates at home so I couldn’t bail out. I played in them for an hour and a half with just a few minor annoyances. The 100k’s have less forward pitch than my current 70k’s. So there was some adjustment there. Towards the end of the session my right ankle starting getting sore. I don’t know if it was the collar of the skate or just some muscles that had to work a little harder. Feels like the former not the latter. The overall fit seems to be good. I am considering going to the standard fit and adding the extra thick tongue to give me a little more space. On the plus side. Edge work and transitioning in and out of turns was effortless…almost automatic in some regards. It was as if the skate knew where the brain was planning on going. I don’t know it’s the one piece boot, the XS holder, or both, but I like it. I like it a lot.

I'm pretty similar but I skip the top 2 eyelets and lace them moderately and evenly tight from top (3rd eyelet) to bottom.

I'm glad to hear you have had a good experience with your new Grafs. I bought a pair of unused 703 boots on eBay and I plan to mount some Tuuk Custom+ holders and Step Blacksteel to them as soon as I get a chance. Grafs are just the best.
