VH Footwear/TRUE by Scott Van Horne

I'm debating whether I want the tan clarino or black wicking liner... Can anyone who has VH skates provide recommendations? I'm also thinking of the stiffer tongue. Since its a goalie skate it's really just an anti-lacebite consideration more than an actual flex thing. -
Not a great night. Lost 2-1 in the last minute in the first league game of the season. Unfortunately there's no footage of the first goal against due to the GoPro falling down. Basically it was a rising shot that went off my shoulder and right to a guy who had a pretty wide open net. Pretty crap to lose in the last minute like this...

My low-end Reactor goalie skates are starting to break down, and have actually started digging into the area where the eyelets are on my right skate. Wife gave me the green light to buy something nicer because "it appears you might actually stick with the goalie thing". Apparently she had doubts... lol. So, time to take tracings for VH. -
Much better pickup session this week. I wasn't super busy really, but that's thanks to the D-men actually trying this week. I don't know what the issue was the last 2-3 weeks but it's usually not that bad. Last night I had a lot more help. I made some pretty bad mistakes, but I've been trying to work on my mobility a little bit. Unfortunately these guys rarely take shots and typically go for backdoor passes, which makes it difficult to work on a proper butterfly. At least I wasn't getting lit up like last week, and it's definitely something to build on.

Damn dude that's a nice haul

Beauty!! Enjoy those! Still using the same gloves? Or did you get a set to match?

VH just posted this to their Twitter. Drool. -
I didn't want to post this because it was SO bad. It has never been this bad before, even when I was starting out. A couple times just simply not being able to get my glove on a loose puck directly resulted in goals. I WAS trying to focus more on being square to the puck, not to the shooter, and also I worked a lot on T-Pushes (still can't do it right) when the play wasn't in our end. I wasn't even tired after this because I barely made any saves. 90% of the video is goals being scored. RIP awesome Warrior stick.

Both pairs of jock shorts sold to Thinkingjack. Tons of socks left. Should I bother listing practice jerseys? I can't imagine they'd be very likely to sell.

Ah, cool. I did that one in my old Jetta at one point a few years back. Had to walk a couple miles in a snowstorm to pick them up from the parts store though :(

The toe cap would look fine if the side material went down further like on a normal skate. -
looks pretty damn good to me!

Ruh roh, out of warranty?

Dude that boat is awesome. Is that a full-on houseboat? Or just a really fancy pontoon?

Ah, I remember seeing that video when it aired. Yea, I do not like that toe AT ALL. -
The Internet is a strange place sometimes.

Going to be in Brazil during the finals. Really worried about my hotel wifi being too crappy to stream the games.

Interesting. Not sure if I like it. -
I wear the light grey Easton socks, because they're super thin, and being in Makos there's really not much room in there. For goalie skates I have more room, and wear Swiftwick Aspire 4, because I like the compression and REALLY like the double thickness 5" ankle cuff protecting my leg from the potential irritation from the top edges of my goalie skates. Now that my Makos are a bit more broken in, I'm thinking of trying the Aspire in those too, but it's hard to convince yourself to switch from something you're happy with at the risk of having a bad game because my feet hurt. The Aspire double thickness compression cuff is FANTASTIC:

Added a removed section, and pulled some of the listings. Taking them to Play It Again sports this afternoon.

Cool, let me know :)

Sounds awesome! You're WAY ahead of me at this point. I can't do any of the things you mentioned :)
