  1. The ankle is fine. It's the lining at the top of the boot that does the damage. It's a defect, not an improperly fitting skate.
  2. Good luck if you did a DOD-level wipe on the drive. Sorry about the circumstances - that sucks.
  3. Agreed on both points. The education system is broken. When making money and producing a winning football team is more important than educating its students, you know there is something wrong. Unfortunately, money is what drives this world, so it's pretty unlikely to change. Good call on the accounting degree. Being flexible is so important. Thats why while I would never EVER encourage somebody to get an IT-related degree (complete waste of time and money), those people should absolutely work towards a general business degree part time while working after they read some books and take some tests :). You may think at first that you just want to be technical forever, but a decade into it and you will start wanting to rise up the ranks into sales engineering or management. The business degree opens up a ton of options for your future once hands-on technical work burns you out.
  4. I really hope they did fix that issue with the Mako II. It's one thing for skates to not fit correctly and be uncomfortable or even painful, but its a whole other thing to actually cause physical harm to THIS many people. I almost feel like Easton should be offering discounted (or even free) upgrades to the new model for those who are having this issue (but I'm also not delusional and realize that's not how the real world operates). Oh well. I'll just keep wearing my neoprene sleeve...
  5. I likely failed the JNCIE lab today. 8 hours of configuring routers... sigh. Exhausting. Can't wait to fly home.
  6. For sure, the experience is what makes it.
  7. I would think it would be much better in a football stadium than a baseball stadium, don't you think? Though you're right, neither are ideal by any means.
  8. Gunnarson wears 13s? Huh. I'd expect that from Phil, but Gunnar is huge.
  9. what are you wearing now optimus? Down low. Great for fat people, since it's just a shirt.
  10. LOVE the CCM shoulders. Will be going back to them if I ever lose weight and can wear normal shoulder pads again.
  11. I'm 240 and use a 70, so it's not just about weight :)
  12. Sure are! Especially if you don't have airline/hotel points to subsidize/upgrade.
  13. I honestly have never seen anyone care about score at pick-up, but thats still super awesome.
  14. After that kind ordeal, playing a game at all would be a victory! It will come back to you :)
  15. I managed to get inter-provider MPLS VPN option a, b and c working today. Big win for me!
  16. I'd compare it to the Vapor cuff, with a Supreme fingers/hand width. They actually fit very similar to the current Nexon series (which I absolutely love). If they break in anywhere close to as well as the Nexons broke in, I'm going to be a very very happy camper. I have to get some game use before I can post a review, but I'm very happy with them out of the box.
  17. That's why you always do them both at the same time even if they aren't both out.
  18. I upped the profile to 10' and had a slight negative pitch put on, it made it a lot easier for me. But, I'm not a fantastic skater so take that with a grain of salt.
  19. Review coming soon :)
  20. Yes, I'm excited for any new model of elbow pad to hit the market since nothing currently on the shelves is even remotely as close to being as comfortable as my projekts! I'm also looking forward to the new base layer and athletic wear stuff. I'm a big fan of the current line of base layer, especially the Bauer Elite compression short/jock. Hmm, I honestly loved the nexus strapping, especially since you could move where the straps were located to make it more comfortable. Though I got rid of the Nexus shins, and I'm absolutely loving the Mako shins. FAR more comfortable than anything I've ever worn before.
  21. First time ever scoring in consecutive games! I believe they refer to that as a "streak".. lol. I'm gonna enjoy that for the short while it will last...
