  1. You know what’s the worst part about Washington winning the cup? It makes it feel like this season was just a big waste of time. Like, you’re telling me I waited 5 months and was glued to my TV for 6 hours almost every night for two months for THIS? Hoping Vegas can come back but it’s unlikely. Though no team has given up more 3-1 playoff series leads than Washington!
  2. The companies now release different products at different times so releasing the full catalog is usuallly not possible anymore.
  3. The first digit in my weight is a 1 for the first time in over 15 years.
  4. We just got a new CIO and now we’re outsourcing most of our IT to a company in India. And of course if we don’t like that idea it’s because we aren’t being open minded enough and it’s our problem.
  5. It's been made private because people kept reporting it. At one point it was invite-only but now its totally private. That said...
  6. Pretty much. This is the first time these playoffs that they haven’t looked dominant. Hopefully they can sort themselves out quickly.
  7. That was pretty back and forth and a bit sloppy by Vegas standards. They need to tighten that up. I think they got sucked into playing a chaotic Washington style too often. Fleury looked human so I'm sure he'll be better going forward. Loved seeing the timely goals. Every time Washington seemed to take over some of the momentum, Vegas snuffed it out almost immediately. It looked like the conference after the Wilson hit wasn't so much the blown call on the hit itself (it was so late that the refs likely weren't even watching that part of the ice anymore) as just whether anyone was able to determine how Perron ended up on the ice when he did. From the video replays it seemed like a legal line change (there was a player coming off), just a late one that could easily be argued was made just for him to get on the ice. Not sure why he tried to engage with Ovechkin though? The 4-on-4 outcome made no sense, but the long conference itself was justified. The pass on the GWG was unreal.
  8. It’s in the email they sent out a couple days ago. Contact them if it’s not working.
  9. I heard somebody say Washington in 4 and I was like.. wait... what? Come on. Unless Fleury completely collapses there’s just no way.
  10. Doctor in November 2017: “You’re borderline for both diabetes and blood pressure. I could start you on medication now or I can give you 6 months to lose some weight” 6 months later: - weight down 55lbs - A1C 4.8% - Blood Pressure now 119/74 - Cholesterol down 28mg/dL
  11. Sparx doing 20% off this weekend. Seriously tempted to get the travel case I've been dreaming of...
  12. Plenty of times I've poked a puck away but it doesn't make it out of the zone. Somebody just grabs it and throws it in the empty net. Lots of times I've come out to play it, threw it to the side boards or into the corner, and my D are either not there or don't both skating to it. If only I could figure out how to lift the puck I'd throw it off the glass.
  13. I'm with you there. Just finding a skate that doesn't hurt to skate in is enough of a battle.
  14. Yea, this one was pretty bad. Love the one D throwing muffins up into the slot multiple times in succession with absolutely zero power behind it. As for the poke... I just saw that he didn't have control and thought maybe I could get there, but hesitated. If it wasn't pickup I wouldn't haven risked that one.
  15. That sounds brutal! You know about my medical history and it’s not much better, but definitely not the same thing. I wasn’t actually playing hockey yet when I had my surgery so recovery time wasn’t as big a deal. Whats the biggest barrier to your return? Pain? Potential of damage?
  16. I would suggest that a skate made for your foot will always fit better than one that wasn't. The question is whether it's worth the extra cost to you. To add to that, a retail skate isn't made for your foot either. So what difference does it make if you buy a retail skate not made for your foot or a pro stock skate that was also not made for your foot?

  18. Pickup from Tuesday night. Not a good night. Started okay but after the sixth 3-on-1 in a row I finally yelled "can we have ONE shift in their end? Just one!" I was clearly frustrated.
  19. Going Vegas in 6. I think it's just about impossible to bet against them at this point.
  20. Looks like Tampa forgot they had a game tonight.
