Most of the action was actually in the second period, which unfortunately I wasn't able to get. We took a few too many penalties, a couple of which were pretty obvious but may have saved goals.
-
Amazing news!! Congrats to you both!

The advice makes sense, it’s just a matter of whether you agree with it. Stated again for clarity, find a hollow you like when fresh and stick to it. Getting your skates done 1-2 times a year is not good.
-
Honestly your best bet is to just get used to it and get them done more often. It’s never good to get used to dull skates because consistently becomes impossible.
-
The cut was good but ultimately it was too expensive to keep doing it. I also had issues with their customer service.
-
Probably the most logical fit. I’m okay with it.

Nice! That GAA and SV% is insane for beer league hockey. I’m usually around 3.00-4.00 GAA and I’m in the top half of the league in that regard, usually (gave up 11 on a night where we had 6 skaters so it’s all skewed this season) Got pics of the gear?

BMI dropped under 30 today. I’m officially no longer “obese”. Still a long way to go, though.
-
LOL. Well that’s not a bad reason really. I mean, I loved FBV for sure but I’ll take what I can get!
-
Completely agree with this.

He'd make sense for the Kings if its a 1 year deal to see what he has left.

BFD has been out for a long time, long before the Sparx came around.

What is it you want to know?

Honestly with the quality of low/mid tier offerings from companies like True, I don't see the need to even try any of these bargain brands. $120 is my absolute max budget for a stick these days, and preferably under $100. Plenty of bang for buck available out there.

Got the keys to our brand new house today!

Congrats! I'm in a similar boat. Promoted last week and received my first raise in almost a decade. I usually hop between jobs every other year or so and it's always been a "as long as I can make what I'm making now I'll take the new job". Do that enough times and you start to wonder why you never asked for more...

What a bummer. Oh well.

You know what’s the worst part about Washington winning the cup? It makes it feel like this season was just a big waste of time. Like, you’re telling me I waited 5 months and was glued to my TV for 6 hours almost every night for two months for THIS? Hoping Vegas can come back but it’s unlikely. Though no team has given up more 3-1 playoff series leads than Washington!

The companies now release different products at different times so releasing the full catalog is usuallly not possible anymore. -
The first digit in my weight is a 1 for the first time in over 15 years.

We just got a new CIO and now we’re outsourcing most of our IT to a company in India. And of course if we don’t like that idea it’s because we aren’t being open minded enough and it’s our problem.

It's been made private because people kept reporting it. At one point it was invite-only but now its totally private. That said...
-
Pretty much. This is the first time these playoffs that they haven’t looked dominant. Hopefully they can sort themselves out quickly.

That was pretty back and forth and a bit sloppy by Vegas standards. They need to tighten that up. I think they got sucked into playing a chaotic Washington style too often. Fleury looked human so I'm sure he'll be better going forward. Loved seeing the timely goals. Every time Washington seemed to take over some of the momentum, Vegas snuffed it out almost immediately. It looked like the conference after the Wilson hit wasn't so much the blown call on the hit itself (it was so late that the refs likely weren't even watching that part of the ice anymore) as just whether anyone was able to determine how Perron ended up on the ice when he did. From the video replays it seemed like a legal line change (there was a player coming off), just a late one that could easily be argued was made just for him to get on the ice. Not sure why he tried to engage with Ovechkin though? The 4-on-4 outcome made no sense, but the long conference itself was justified. The pass on the GWG was unreal.
