  1. Damn, those gloves would have matched my team last season to a tee.
  2. I'm going to have to find me one of these. I'm liking the curve.
  3. It's because you said "I don't hold onto this stuff very long." So, makes it seem like your trying to sell it. Thats it really.
  4. I picked these up off of craigslist for $10. Just a little big and a really big cuff. Trying to get use to them. I can't complain for the price how ever.
  5. Product: Custom Bauer Vapor X:60 (size 9EEE/A) Ht: 6' Wt: 390 lbs (I'm a big guy!) Foot Size: Size 12 sneaker, 11 dress shoe Foot Type: Wide foot with a normal heel. Level and Use: Beer League. Use for about two games. August 2011 Previous Skates: Old pair of Nikes with an extremely soft boot. Fit: I had these skates custom made as no other skate in the market would fit my foot. These are perfect. My only problem is the toe cap as my pinky toe as well rubs against the toe cap making it uncomfortable sometimes. 9/10 Blade/Holder: LS2 steel and I can't complain at all since it is the only steel I have skated on so far. Nothing much to say about the holder honestly as it's holding up quite well. 9/10 Weight/Protection: These skates are heavier than my old Nikes, but that's because these skates are a better build and more durable. I have taken a few wristers off of them and I barely even noticed it till the goalie said "Nice save" to me. 9/10 Durability: These are holding up quite well since I have been using them. The one problem I do have is that when I got them, a lot of the stitching seemed to be just dangling like they used too much of it. It doesn't affect the skates use but for me it's more of an aesthetic thing for my self. I how ever take care of these skates like they are my baby. So I carefully put them on and carefully take them off each time. 10/10 Intangibles: I got these skates in a 4 stiffness as I'm a big guy and I need it for when crossing over. I feel as if Bauer has done an amazing job with their customizing application. I got exactly what I wanted and even then some! 9/10 Conclusion: I love this skate so much that it's a shame I can't get another one when this one wears out. I just hope it lasts me a few years. If I could, I would have bought two pairs just in case! I can see why a lot go with this skate and to get it custom made, Even more amazing! I tell people all the time how much I love and adore these skates. OVERALL: 9 / 10
  6. Background: 390lbs, 6' Icetime: 1-2 per weel Product: Easton Synergy ST4 - Size Large Previous: Old pair of Coopers Timeframe: July 2011 - Recent FIT/MOBILITY: I find these elbow pads to give me good movement as long as my shoulder pads don't get in the way. How ever, my shoulder pads are too long so recently I just used the elbow pads. I had great mobility and they were extremely comfortable. I just wish the straps wouldn't come off so easily. 7/10 PROTECTION: I fell hard on these one game and luckily enough, I barely felt a thing. I was sore after the game but that is to be expected when a guy of my weight falls and hits the ice. I have taken a puck off one of them and I barely felt a thing. 9/10 CONCLUSION: I would recommended these to lower level players as there is probably a lot of better elbow pads out there for higher level players. Being a beer league player they suit me perfectly and do there job. 8/10
  7. Miken MV-5 Pro Radial Flex: 90 Curve: BP10 Similar to Sakic Height: 6' Weight: 380 Postition: RW/LW Time-frame of use: Since December 2011 Aesthetics: I love the look of the MV5. It's subtle with the red and black and doesn't stand out a lot like other sticks on the ice. Weight and Balance: The weight is lighter than my other stick (Easton synergy) and I find it to be very balanced when in one hand when poke checking somebody. 9/10 Blade: I have a Sakic type blade and I can put the puck any where I am aiming, I find it really has an amazing feel when puck handling and shooting a wrist shot or snap shot. My slap shots have a lot to be desired so I couldn't really comment on a slap shot and the blade. 8/10 Shaft/Flex: I always go with a 90 flex because it's what I love, how ever I wish I went with a lower flex as I have just learned snap shots and I feel as if I don't have enough flex. Not sure if this is the shafts fault or my own. How ever, I am getting adjusted to it slowly and it will get better with time. 6/10 Stickhandling and Passing: The stickhandling is amazing with this stick as you can feel the puck on the blade. The passing has a little to be desired as my passes don't go where I send them some times. Not sure if it's me or the blade or what. 7/10 Shooting: I can shoot snap shots all day with this stick and hit my target. Wrist shots also really go off this stick as well very nicely. I feel if your looking for a stick that will perform in the shooting category, this is the stick 8/10 Durability: Since using it in December, I have no paint chips or anything. I'm usually the one getting slashed all game and I have yet to see a chip at all. 9/10 Conclusion: I would recommend this stick to people who really want a great feeling stick that can shoot wristers and snap shots all day. I will be buying another one when this one breaks.

    Easton E700

Easton E700 Medium paired with Itech Concept II Fit - I'm normally a Large in most helmets, however a Medium in this helmet. It is one of the most comfortable helmets I have ever worn. I have no pressure points at all either which I would get in my temple area with a Bauer.. 10/10 Protection - I have had a couple of pucks bounce off the helmet which I barely even felt. 10/10 Weight - Lightest in the market without a cage. With the cage, it's still amazingly light. 10/10 Ventilation - It seems like it does its job since my head is always cool. I just wish the replacement pads would be on sale since I sometimes play an extra game or practice after wards and it is quite gross with cold wet soaked pads. 8/10 Durability - Has a couple scratches on it, but it's still holding up amazingly for three months. Have to check in in a year. Also seems like if you keep using the giro system it keeps getting weaker. 7/10 Conclusion - I love this helmet and let my friends try it on. You may ask "$150 for a helmet?!" Yes, it's protecting your head so why not spend the money on a important piece of equipment?
  9. I want a pair of the lightning shells so bad. I'm so jealous.
  10. I had no fun at all in my beer league game because our goalie is a dousche. Between trying to fight people and getting penalties non stop, It was horrible. For me to say I had no fun is really bad because I have fun every Saturday win or lose. I pray he isn't playing next season because if he is, I'm going to a different team. Besides the goalie, two on one breakaway 4 times with the same line mate. Think he passes to me? Nope, shoots right into his chest. Thats my venting for the month.
  11. IIRC, Which toe cap (t1, vapor, FL) and size. I think thats about it.
  12. Not understanding the logic here either. That's like me accepting my custom skates just because I didn't feel like sending them back.
  13. Picked this off of ebay for $6 shipped. I couldn't help it really.
  14. This is from when I played in the Rink Of Dreams.
  15. Last one I was invited too was amazing. Tons of pics on my face book. (Sheldon Gary Cooper btw). Figured I'd set one more up before the Lighting season ends.
  16. Just set up my first Rink of Dreams for April 2nd! So much easier when you have a buddy helping out.
  17. . Congrats! Just keep strong now!Got invited to play in The Rink Of Dream and I accepted! Can't wait!
  18. Couple Goodies. Tackla Blackhawk shell, E700 with ITech Clear Cage, and CCM Shell. Eventually I'll get around to wearing the Tackla since they fit without a belt (I'm a big boy)
  19. Yup, best answer. Rink I was getting mine done has lost a customer and now somebody else has gotten a customer for life.
  20. Apparently, Silk (Soy milk) Does not agree with my stomach all of a sudden. Damn Shame cause I love the Vanilla kind so much.
  21. Tampa Bay Lighting are having an equipment sale Saturday December 3rd. 5:30 PM St Pete Times forum.. I suggest getting there early. Wish I could go but I have a game at 6 and would barely make it.
  22. Just became mod for xbox live. I sense a lot of bans for cheaters. Lol.
  23. Playing Saints Row 3 with review dlc with my good friend CheapyD in it. So weird to see a good buddy of yours go main stream and be dlc in a video game.
