  1. Steel - Tydan 280 Hollow - 90/75 FBV About Me - I started skating at the age of 10, played for three years and stopped at age 13. I then picked it back up again at about age 27. Of course, I can skate, But I've always have troubled trouble with crossovers. I can do them, but no confidently which is why Im hoping I can find a right peofile for then to keep me more stable. Review - I have found my profile!! Just everything about this profile suites my play style! Sure It won't ever be all 5's, but its so close!! I can really feel my edges on this profile for some reason and hold them for a good bit. Crossovers feel fantastic as well as the starts and stops. Mobility - 4 Stability - 4 Speed - 4 Acceleration - 3 * After testing more profiles, this could possibly change if I feel I judged it poorly.
  2. Thank you all for the videos and advice!! I decided to really push my self tonight at the pick up. Boy, what a difference a good knee bend makes. The knee bend really helped me tonight with the crossovers. So smooth and no slipping at all!! Thank you everybody!!
  3. I even added videos to get some tips, just because I'm always trying to get better. Now, I think I'm focusing WAY to much when I'm just practicing. In a game situation, I have no problem at all because I'm so focused on the play. Any more advice fellas? I also know better knee bend as well. https://youtu.be/Q29i0trM15k https://youtu.be/_kXcEe-lh5c https://youtu.be/i06avs3rwJ0 Thank you in advance for the tips and help!!

Review - With this profile, it had a good glide and an OK push off. Yet. When I wanted to crossover, it felt like I was about to fall wgen doing so. I tried them for about half an hour and switched back to my stock 10' radius. Was not a fan at all with this one. Review - Felt really good when pushing off and good glide. Stability wasn'tto bad. Felt like I lost a little bit of an inside edge on my left foot but that could have been me or the ice. Played in them for about an hour. While its not bad, felt like one edge kept giving out on me when crossing over. Review - I've never been one to shy away from what works. I started on Step steel and then moved to Tydan. I never had a problem with the radius but always wanted more satbility, but when I heard the Pro Sharp Project was doing this, I had to join it so I find a profile which could help me be a better skater. 10. So, here is the mock up I was sent after Skyping with Sher-Wood for the custom gloves I won at WinterFest. Matches my Dekes of Hazzard jersey perfectly.
  11. I finally got a pair of pro stock gloves and I couldn't be happier. Got all this at the Lightning Sale. All at a hell of a price as well. I was quite happy with the pick ups but I probably wont be using the Warrior no names that much. Filppula Gloves - From what people are saying 14 with a N Cuff. I love the slash guards though. This pair is so damn comfortable. Warrior 14" W gloves -Palms are like Brand new. RBK Shins
  12. I always wanted one and now I'm a fan of the Easton onesie. Put it on and my socks and ready to go. Comfortable and keeps me nice and warm.

  16. Yup, Lockout Jersey was $15 amd the stick was $20. The practice jersey was $30 but not for me.

  18. Reviewer Stats: 6', 380 lbs Usage Before Review: 5-6x Previous Gear: Itech bubble cage on a Easton E700. Fit: Fit is great for the Easton E700 helmet. Just a couple screws and you're ready to go and attach the visor! 9/10 Comfort: Very comfortable for a visor. I can adjust the way I want it and how I like it at the bench unlike some visor which you can't angle up or what not. 9/10 Visibility: Coming from an Itech bubble cage to this is a world of difference. I believe I had a poor optic bubble cage and when I went to this visor I just knew it. I can see quite well with it on and have no problems at all with the visibility. Of course though, it fogs only on the bench but never in play. 9/10 Performance: It has taken it's fair share of abuse from elbows and sticks and it still has not one crack in it or chip. A couple scratches here and there but your'e going to get that no matter what on any visor over time. 9/10 Extras: The equipment that is supplied with it is a little on the bulky side and sticks out a little bit further than most visors would. The nice thing how ever is that I can snap in another visor when ever I need too or want too. 7/10 Conclusion: It's a great visor but cheaper ones can be had that aren't as bulky as this one. Overall Rating: 8/10

    No Sweat

I was given these to me as a small birthday present cause my buddy wanted my opinion on them. So I decided to give them a try and was pleased with them. Fit: Fits very well in my E700 but the only problem is that it covers two ventilation holes in the front of the helmet. 9/10 Protection: Not much to say for protection as it is pretty much a sweat band. ?/10 Weight: Very light, feels just like an E700 front pad but a little lighter. 9/10 Durability: They say use for one game, but I like many others have gotten two to three games out of them. 10/10 Intangibles: As noted above, the only con I have is that it covers two ventilation spots in the Easton E700 helmet. ?/10 Conclusion: Great product at a great price. It is worth a buy to just even try them out! 9/10
  20. Background: 6' ; 380 lbs ; Adult Recreational Players (one to two times a week) Product: CCM Fit03 Shin Pads Previous Shins: Jofa JDP 6060 16" Current Pads: CCM Fit03 16" Time frame: Have been using them for about two years. Fit: The fit of these is great. They are a little bit wide on my leg but that is ok as I tend to block shots on occasion when I play D or even when I play wing. They do fit a little bit wider than most shin guards I have used. Once I strap in the bottom strap It's pretty secure and won't move on me at all during the game. 9/10 Mobility: I have a good range of movement in these shin guards and never feel limited by them at all. 9/10 Protection: Great protection for these shin guards. I have taken a few wrist shots off of them and felt nothing and I have also taken a few brutal slap shots off of these and still felt nothing at all. I heard the sound but didn't feel a thing when the puck hit the shin guard. I was surprised as I thought it would hurt just a little but nothing at all. 10/10 Weight: Pretty light in my opinion compared to my Jofa JDP 6060. 10/10 Durability: I have been using these for the past two years. They are still holding up strong with not a crack in them at all. Especially with all the shots I take they are still holding up quite well. Of course the obvious wear and tear but that is to be expected when wearing for two years. The bottom strap is still holding strong after two years which is saying a lot as most of the elastic straps are wearing thin by year two. 10/10 Intangibles: These pads are fit for everybody. From wingers to defense. I feel they fit a wide range of people looking for Shin pads that aren't to heavy. This is why I got them because I was looking for a lightweight shin pad and found it in this one. 10/10 Conclusion: Nobody really asks about my shin pads but if I did I would tell them the say thing "I love them and they are very durable and lightweight." I would recommendy them to the beginners I coach any day of the week. They can take quite a beating and still hold up and to boot they are very lightweight for my self, but maybe not for others. Overall: 9/10
  21. Warrior Projekt Gloves, 2012 model Size: 14" Time used: 1 year Fit: These gloves are probably the best fitting pair of gloves I have had yet. I love the tightness around the cuff and they don't feel as if they will fall off at anytime when I play which is a problem with some of the gloves I have. 10/10 Weight & Mobility: The weight of these gloves are pretty light but probably not the lightest glove on the market. The mobility is great, I can stick handle very well with them and they have a good range of motion and don't get bunched up at the cuff for me. The range of motion for the thumb is great as it has full range moving down but limited mobility when movie up which is great. 9/10 Protection: I have taken quite a few brutal slashes on these gloves and still kept going like it was nothing. The Bone system is great technology and I hope more gloves use it. I have also blocked a few shots with them as well and the bone system still stand strong. It hurt very little but would have hurt A LOT more if I was wearing another pair of gloves. It is by far the most protected glove that I have used that takes abuse every week. 10/10 Durability: It has been a year and I used the gloves almost twice a week. They are holding up quite well with a few scratches here and there but that is to be expected. 8/10 Palm: The micro nash palm is very nice but I have some concerns with this one. It has "holes" in it for ventilation I believe and I see that they are starting to get bigger very slowly. My palms are also going to need a replacement soon as they are wearing down. They were great for the first year but I feel and think I might need to replace them in the next year or so as they are my go to gloves for every game now. 7/10 Ventilation: The ventilation on these gloves are great. I can play a whole period with out a lot of sweat inside the gloves. Take them off and hands are just a little moist but that is to be expected. I Love how well ventilated these gloves are but that also brings me back to the palm issue with the holes. 9/10 Aesthetics: I like the look of these gloves. They don't look like your traditional four roll which is just fine with me. 8/10 Overall: As noted before, these are my go to gloves once I got use to them. I wear them every game and every special event as well. There is just something about these gloves that I just love and I can't stop using. It might be the tight cuff fit or all the protection it uses but I use them every game without even thinking about going to a different pair. 8/10
  22. Just two from the recent tournament.
  23. I think the serrated is great.. I had steel crack right in half and it stayed in for the rest of the 3rd period. Without the serrated I think it would have fallen out. I try to recommend Step to the players I play with and coach.
  24. RIP Paul Moody. Apparently gastric bypass complications. You would know him as Paul Bearer.
