Bauer World is next month so I guess that will tell us specifically whats coming in 2023 and beyond.
-
The next generation Jetspeed is going to see some significant changes as compared to FT1, FT2 and FT4.
-
I tested them for a little bit. Very nice skate, but too stiff for me personally. I will note that the fit is significantly different than the Jetspeed, and Ribcor models as the new Tacks are all built on an updated last. Typically, in other CCM models, I am between a regular and a wide fit. In the new Tacks I am between a tapered and regular fit, with regular I still have a little too much room in the boot. Overall, I feel there are significant improvements over the AS3 Pro in performance, weight, and the new tendon provides a longer stride. If you like a very stiff skate, then this is the option for you.

Thoughts on the Hyperlite protective lineup?
VegasHockey replied to Bastion's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I think Bauer is spending too much time chasing weight and compromising mobility, durability, and protection. The new Vapor protective is overpriced (for what it is) and can only provide enough protection for lower-level players or very young players (under the age of 13). I can't imagine any U16AAA/U18AAA/NCAA/USHL/WHL players wearing that protective line. -
They may have started to roll out the update and then stopped for some reason. The manufacturers aren't the most transparent regarding sharing specific information.
-
I was told no. Thw the booking for 2023 is already out and it doesnt reflect that curve either.
-
Literally

Unless you find them at retail, or you fit in any of the specific sizes below (current as of 8/9/22) you will need to wait until the 2023 booking. The 100K production has been completed for the remainder of 2022 for retail. You can always go custom, as I mentioned previously.
-
At retail they are sold out until 2023, unless you can find a store that has some in stock. Otherwise, if you cant fin them in your size you will need to go custom. What size do you need?
-
They need to update the CCM app. ASV-Pro Custom and Custom Plus are available already. I just did a pair for a customer in gunmetal.

VH Footwear/TRUE by Scott Van Horne

That was the lightweight tongue. The Pro tongue is also flexible once it breaks in. -
I have used the P28, Pastrňák and Kucherov. It's basically a P28 with a little less toe and the lie on the toe is slightly more aggressive compared to a P28. I like it more than the P28 and Pastrňák.

Agreed. -
The FT4 breathes better but does absorb water, whereas the FT4 Pro doesnt. That means they run a little hot, but similar to the fuction of Fillium by having a thin barrier of water, you actually lower your body temp since you arent sweating, sweat then getting wicked away into the base layer, and transferring it to the shoulder pad. That's why I love the Zenkai base layers. https://zenkaisports.com https://filium.com/

CCM directed dealers were supposed to have shipped back inventory and replacement inventory would be shipped. I know most dealers did this, but some decided to just deal with the holder issues as the occurred. My understanding was this was only specific to the AS-V and AS-V Pro skates.
-
I feel about the same. The product is nice but pricey. However, I can get almost 4 sticks out of a single pack though since I don't use the full size on my blade. If you compare the Buttendz Pitbull vs Rezztek I think they are both VERY different.
-
Its called the Novium https://eishockey-onlineshop.de/Stick-Warrior-Novium-63-Inch-85-Flex-Senior-W03-right
-
If you are referring to the boot pitch, it's very minimal in the Supreme.
-
Best shoulder pad on the market currently. Fit, protection, mobility, weight, etc. Everything is good.
-
The holder was mounted on the boot without a steel in it which caused it to bind. When you try and insert steel into the holder its very difficult and you might not be able to get the locking mechanism to tighten properly.
-
I have previously shipped out the TRUE scanner to Teams, had them perform the scan, and send it back. I don't see any reason why I couldn't do the same for a customer. Where are you located?
-
That's smart. I wish most customers would understand that there are a few items that it's worth it to spend extra money on just to have better protection. I personally think top-tier and second-tier items typically have the same protection, you are usually just getting a slightly lighter item with top-tier or it has slightly better materials. Example: FT4 Pro shoulder pads vs FT4.

We have sold through a TON of the new Catalyst skates, and the sizing remains the same as my initial thoughts. You will likely stay in the same size as other big brands (Bauer/CCM), or you will go up in size. This is the opposite in sizing when compared to the TF series. Why not just buy from a store that offers the 30-day satisfaction guarantee so if you get the wrong sized skate you can exchange/return? I understand you want to save money, but a properly fitting skate should be the main priority.
-
Yes.

If we are referring to the actual net profit, after factoring in all costs, they are making very little.
