    I think these are slimmer than most any other pant I have used. Definitely slimmer than the QRE and Vapor, and slightly slimmer than the CCM FT1 and Supreme. I wear a small in most brands as a medium is too big but int he STX I need to wear a medium. I am 5'11 and 180lbs. 32" waist and 31" inseam.

    Did you find the Warrior girdle shells to be more form-fitting or loose than the Bauers?

    Hopefully you aren't washing your gear on hot and drying it. If so, you have damaged the entire anti-microbial properties of the game wear.

    Interesting, I had the S190 pant and the MX3 and those shells had velcro, from what I can recall, so I assumed it was still the same.

    My big thing is I want the velcro tabs that hook on to the girdle. I think Bauer has these but CCM does not. Can you confirm?

    This exact area has been a problem for a few customers of ours and we have to send CCM the skates back to have larger toe caps attached. You cant punch that area of the boot properly.

    The shell and girdle are the same size, Senior Medium. I tried to use a Senior Small and there was no way it would work at all.

    I tried it and it doesn't work. You can, however, do a ROH with a ZC which works great!

    I could argue that I have seen issues with Bauer and CCM custom skates as well. Some of these issues are due to the shop or scanning process while others might be specific to the individual such as a sensitive area or personal preference. We recently had skates built for a player who HATES his toes being close to the toe cap and likes there to be enough wiggle room for him to move his toes. Obviously, this is uncommon so I had to make sure that even after the scan was submitted I followed up with TRUE multiple times to make sure they built the skates to his liking. We got them in and he loved them. So I guess experienced will vary, like anything in life. To put this in perspective, even cars, which are made in a very automated and controlled environment have a 1% "lemon" rate.

    Been using the Warrior QRE girdle and love it but the shell doesn't fit as tailored as I would prefer. I was wondering if there are any third party shells that are more form-fitting or if I should just get the shell tailored.

    The only issues I have ever seen with that holder is people overtighten the nut which pulls the front "tooth" out of the socket it fits into.

    While I am a big fan of the AS1 skates they did not work well for me either. The boot was too stiff and tall. I also found that the built-in arch also caused me a lot of discomfort as well. The FT1/FT2 is a much better fit for my foot type and skating style. You might want to consider changing to the FT1 if you are going to do the 90-day satisfaction guarantee.

    Our stores in Seattle, WA sell a lot of them and everyone who has used them, myself included, finds the benefits of these are substantial, especially if you get them profiled. You really should try going to a flatter hollow, less than 3/4" once you get adjusted. Most of the people we sharpen that have Flare are on 1" - 1 1/2" ROH, the ones with a 1 1/2" ROH usually have a ZC though.

    You don't really skate on your toes or heel. Also, the primary benefit of Flare is not the width as most people think, its the actual flare of the steel which allows you to get over further on your edges. The width obviously does help with stability and glide, having a more flat hollow, but that's not the main focus of the benefit of the steel.

    You can actually use a prosharp level if you have one, measure it from the left side and right side. The amount it should be off on each side should be equal. If that doesn't make sense I can snap some pics later today.

    Standard shipping. Usually, 5 days unless they get slowed down when processing through customs.

    In the newer releases, if you chose the fabric liner, they include wear patches now. The clarino liners they still don't have them. I do know some equipment managers that have added them though and it looks pretty simple.

    I think the opposite, the CCM FT1 is slimmer than the Vapor 1X. Agreed.

    280 is actually fairly common on a size 8+ but obviously, everyone is different and thus what works for some won't work for others. I totally understand your frustration, and they really should have done what you asked or at least communicated back to you what they did and did not change before sending you the skates back. As for swapping to a smaller holder, I wouldn't worry too much about the holes if they are filled properly, but I do understand you getting new skates and paying a premium for such and wanting them to be done properly.

    Yes, I like them too. They are very stiff and durable compared to the LS Edge holders.

    What size holders are mounted? I skate on oversized holder myself as do many others without issues, assuming you have the steel profiled and pitched properly.

    For a while we had almost all players swapping the True/VH holders with Tuuk LS Edge holders but the last 10 pairs we have delivered the players wanted to test the True/VH holder first and liked it and didn't want to swap it out.
