  1. I've had different people tell me different things about that. One guy said drain the gas and store it empty, another said to leave gas it it to avoid any dirt/debris build up. I've always left gas in it...this is the first year I've had problems...it's an old machine anyway, I got it from a friend for nothing....it really doesn't owe me anything at this point. I'm just glad it only took some time and a $6 can of Carb cleaner....anything more than that in parts would not be worth it.
  2. Honestly, I heard there was "some" snow expected. Didn't expect what we got. I think I used the damn thing once last year, and it started/ran fine...so checking it didn't even cross my mind.
  3. So THAT'S the reason we've gotten so much snow...the Cali ex-Pat came home. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
  4. After a brief lesson in small engine repair from my neighbour and a couple days of fussing, spraying, wiggling (cables and wires...not me) and cursing...I got the damn snow blower to start. Unfortunately, I had already done most of the shovelling by hand...because I didn't want to risk not having any day light left if it didn't run...but I did have it for the path down the side of the house to the back door...which would have sucked to do by hand. But, as a Man vs. Machine moment...I get the point and that's all that matters!
  5. That Louis CK bit is awesome...I've only ever heard the cleaner Network TV version.
  6. Team wise, I hate that hat...but design wise....I like the white stitching on the back/sides...but the frort would be nicer if it didn't have the 2 white stripes Blue stitching on the front.
  7. Back on the ice with my regular Sunday night shinny group at Copps starting this week. This is the first Summer I haven't played hockey in quite a few years (only played 2x since April). Gonna be some rust...but gonna be soooo good to get back at it.
  8. Michael Clarke Duncan: http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/michael-clarke-duncan-dies-at-54-201239 I knew he had a heart attack a few months ago...but didn't know that he never fully recovered.
  9. Just saw that ad on FB earlier tonight. Bravo David!
  10. this time it's a shaving injury...in the past it's been a "box picking up injury" and a "fell sleep on the couch injury" ...If it were just the pain without the giant freaking knot in my back I would have been far more concerned initially...but I can feel the knot, and it's happened before, so I was fairly sure what it was. The BP is a bit alarming...especially after all the years of my Mom warning me to eat better, drink less. Mom's family has heart history....Dad's side tends to live forever. Guess I got more of Mom in me.
  11. Well...decided to err on the side of caution. Went to a clinic. They said it was not a cardiac event....although I do have higher than normal BP. She said it is muscular and likely brought on by the amount of time spend at a computer every day. She gave me Naproxan as an anit-inflammatory. I also got a list of Dr's taking new patients...guess it's time I get checked out more thoroughly. Thank you for your concern...and scaring me enough to make me go to the Dr.
  12. Ya know every now and then you hear a story about a guy put in the DL because he got hurt doing something totally pedestrian to his sport, like eating pancakes or sneezing??? I pulled a muscle in my back (between my shoulder blades) while I was shaving last night....OH MY GOD this hurts! Couldn't find a comfortable sleep position last night....and the way the pain was shooting around into my neck/chest it felt like someone was sitting on my chest. Icing it now...and hoping my chiropractor has an open spot for some treatment. Guess I won't be getting any of that work done in the yard today (but maybe that part doesn't need to be part of the vent.)
  13. Click the link 2 posts above you....That Leaf/Map/Rink design is mine.
  14. Jesus...I need to pay more attention. He's another one, if asked, I would have said was already dead. Unless I'm just confusing him in my mind with Gene Roddenberry.
  15. Donna Summer. 63....after a battle with Cancer. Cue all the AC stations in your city playing the HELL out of 'Last Dance'!!!
  16. Ha...that's awesome. Thankfully I made the "Good" side of the list. Also a good reminder that what you post is out there for anyone to find. That's not a contest I entered!
  17. On the death of Adam Yauch (via my cousin on Twitter) If Heaven exists, Jimi, Biggie and John Lennon just brought MCA to the original CBGB. Later, he's checking out an ABA game.
  18. So, thoughts that this will be linked to either drug use (I always thought of Jr. as a squeaky clean player to look up too) or post concussion or trauma issues? [EDIT]: The way they were talking on the radio, they are definitely suggesting that there were post concussion or trauma issues. Can anyone more familiar with his career recall any major concussion history...or are we to assume he was "playing through it" and being a good, tough NFLer. To this point, (and I mean no disrespect to any of the dead) it has been predominantly role players, 4th liners etc...Is this the first real super star, former/retired athlete death?
  19. MInutes??? It's been 15 Years for me...I'm still trying to feel all my edges properly!
  20. It's nice to no longer live an in apartment...and actually have a yard...but holy shit...I hate doing yard work. Weeds...cut 'em, they come back....! Pull 'em...they come back! Spray 'em with chemicals....THEY COME BACK!!!! Mid level Nuke...they'd probably come back.
  21. I blared "The Shape I'm In" in the office right after I read the news!!!!! Such a great song!
  22. I figure if Tupac can rap with Snoop....they can find away to have DC at NYE! (Language NSFW) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQgrce1VflI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQgrce1VflI
  23. I'm an uncle again. Aries Kale Bazinet was born Saturday night. 6 lbs 8oz. unfortunately, my brother also lives out East...so I have no idea when I'll get to meet the little guy. My phone has been (how do the kids say?)...'blowing up' all weekend with pictures!
  24. I got the chance to be to be an Honorary Coach for an NHL Alumni Game at Copps. Very cool experience. Got some auto's and 1 picture...if you are only going to get 1....might as well be Mr. Shutt. Other players that were there: Billy Smith, Glen Anderson, Daniel Marois, Grant Ledyard, Gary Leeman, Craig Muni, Dave McLwain (I know I spelled that wrong), Tom Fergus, Rod Black (from TSN) ans Ron Hogarth was the Ref/MC.
