Not that it matters, but business or personal? Either way...must be a huge pain in the ass! Not to mention a complete violation of privacy and sense of security.

You been working and spending the day in front of a computer...? That can't be helping if you are.

Terribly sad news. A quote from his final letter to his supporters has been making the rounds on the interwebs today: "...Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world." Not sure what everyone does for a job, but politics aside...that's a pretty damn good philosophy to live by regardless of how you make your living. RIP Mr. Layton.

LOL...I've been off for 2 weeks...back to work today. Not sure why, but I could not get to sleep last night (Well, I know why...but no need to air my dirty work laundry here). Anyways....finally fell asleep around 3:30a....must've slept through my alarm...'cause I woke up at 8:55 (I start at 9). Alarm was still set. It turns off after about 15 minutes of buzzing! D'oh!. Thankfully, in Radio Production. 9-9:30 on a Monday is hardly busy time. LOL!

From this: To this: Proud to say...other than the initial electrical and the window...I did it all myself! (I still have to trim/seal the window)

Ah hell...that sucks. Take care of your head man! No rushing back to shinny just 'cause a friend is off this week and looking to skate! LOL

I don't know about 'annoyed'...but they will definitely have some advise about sizing/design. That much text will be hard to read if it is too small and just look weird if it is too big. Have a design in mind...but be open to his/her suggestions on what will look best. At the end of the day, it's on you forever so you have to be happy with it.

Some artists really love doing text and others (even though they do great work) HATE it. Make sure your artist is comfortable with text.

The start of this is "Sweet Stuff" material... I'm the oldest of 4 boys. The middle brother (29yr) and his long time GF (what the hell, might as well call her his wife) had a baby in June. My other brother (33) and his wife of just over a year are expecting...and my 'baby' brother (27) is getting married in 3 weeks. I'm happy for them all...but I'm 35 and single...I can't help but think I've done something wrong. I'm not going to go so far as to say I'm depressed about it...but it's definitely left me in a funk. Hell, I don't even have a date for the wedding. FML!

Best bands that you're not listening to.

Not the most mainstream guy in the world (at least not in Canada...) but the new Eric Church CD is really good. C'mon...you gotta like the lyrics: "I've thrown a punch or two and gave a few black eyes...but Jack Daniels kicked my ass again last night" Oh...did I mention...It's Country Music! LOL -
No Festival of Friends in Hamilton/Ancaster.

A friend from the other group of radio stations in town had VIP/Front Row for the Tea Party. 10 feet from the stage with all the free beer we could drink! Great to see them back together.

The Sheepdogs are playing a free show at a local festival tonight. Tea Party on Saturday. 2 great night of Canadian Rock n' Roll!

Sent promos to a voice talent in Nashville yesterday. Was told it would be 10 day turn around. Low and behold....they came back this evening. I can get this project done before I go on vaca now!

Got up at 6:45 this morning...was on a commuter train to Toronto at 9:00. In line at Skydome (I refuse to call it Rogers Centre) before the gates opened at 11 to make sure we all got a Robbie Alomar HOF bobblehead prior to watching his jersey retired and the Jays beating up on the Rangers. There were only 20,000 available and the place was sold out (over 45,000). Got home and opened the box...my bobblehead is broken. It has a broken arm, and is cracked at the base. I know in the grand scheme of things....not really a big deal...but a lot of planning went into the 7 of us that went all getting into Toronto on time...and it is a little bit of a piss off.

He's a talented kid with huge up side who has some personal stuff to work through...who better to mentor him than Vick!

My house is 34 degrees right now. Not that nice winter, American 34 either...Hot, sweaty, nasty CANADIAN 34! Double and add 30...right? 98* F! "EFF" is right!

They weren't causing problem, necessarily...but they had obviously been neglected for quite some time...and were getting pretty ratty. I have no green thumb and zero patience for that kind of stuff...so maintaining, and trimming them really wasn't an option for me. I found there were a lot of bugs around the front area too...and I've noticed a big decline now. While I did like the privacy they offered...I find the breeze through that front window is much nicer now (in a house without AC)!

In the (almost) 2 years since I moved from an apartment into a house, I've taken great pride in the amount of work I've been able to accomplish with no professional help. I did hire someone to install the furnace and insulate the attic, but the new front door, some plumbing, the bathroom reno I'm in the middle of and...possibly my favourite project so far...removing these trees, have been just me and a couple friends. Before: After: Now if only it would rain to green up that front lawn a touch. It looked sooo good in May! LOL! Can't really bring myself to just let the hose run on it. I want nature to take care of it herself!
