  1. I can't stand all the used car ads with celebrity voice impersonators. Fake Obama, Trump, Putin- I've yet to hear one that didn't make me want to jam my car keys into my ear canals. They aren't funny, clever or remotely original. Just stop already.
  2. Mini Me Verne Troyer https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/apos-austin-powers-apos-actor-204041665.html
  3. Did this about 15 years ago for a few seasons, and couldn't agree more. Had the wide talent range just like you. They were always eager to learn, but it was frustrating when they would decide they didn't like someone and wouldn't play on a line or D pairing with that person because of it. Had a lot of fun though.
  4. "You look like a 12 year old Dutch girl" Very funny show, worth the efdoet to track down and watch in the states.
  5. Maybe try a thicker insole like the CCM ones to elevate you toes a bit- maybe high enough to overcome the undercut of the toe cap .
  6. I had that with my One90's years ago. It was a rivet/ holder issue.
  7. There are 5 pairs up now, looking at the pics I don't see any peeling of the liners. They all look as they come from the factory. I'm not clear on what you are talking about- the interior of the skate at the heel?
  8. Haven't had any rivet issues three years in with mine. If you have any issues you can always have your LHS put a copper in the back of the rear tower as needed.
  9. Testors paint marker will look better.
  10. Interesting- looks like Gen 1 tendon guards. Love the tongues.
  11. I use the CCM footbeds as well, going on three + years now with no issues. You shouldn't have to rebake. May fit a bit more snug as the CCM insoles are thicker.
  12. I've had excellent luck picking pro pairs that once baked fit close enough to my customs that I don't notice while skating. I've also put two teammates into them that wouldn't ever spend full retail on a pair of skates but jumped at $400 or less for a like new pair. As long as the sizing is right and there aren't any dramatically different anatomical differences between the skate and your foot it's the same as buying any other pro stock skate. If anything more forgiving given the pliability of VH/True once heated.
  13. The white on those is custom to those skates. Unless otherwise specified, the chrome/black piece at the ankle is/was the standard logo/graphic.
  14. That sucks. Best of luck with the searches.
  15. Former Hartford Whaler and All Name Teamer Zarley Zalapski. https://www.nhl.com/news/former-nhl-defenseman-zarley-zalapski-dies-at-age-49/c-293945028
  16. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like it may have came like that from the factory? The small bubbles at the end look like more of a build issue than wear and tear. Doesn't look to be structural, I would fill it in with some resin and call it a day.
  17. Glad to hear you were able to overcome the lack of R&D and all that speed skating tech to make them work...
  18. Try putting your old steel in the new skates.
  19. Maybe the pitch is different enough from your old set up that it's creating discomfort?
  20. Finally had a chance to watch the videos, interesting concept. Seems like it would in theory be a good match for FBV - the flat portion of the hollow would be bigger and should enhance the already increased glide, no?
