there are at least a couple NHLers still (or up until recently) wearing that model. If you need them in adult sizes check places like Prostockhockey.com for them. I 'm pretty sure they had some in a few months ago. Also, have you tried on the SuperTacks or Jetspeed gridles? The V10's fit pretty snug and had an internal belt, correct? You may find the fit somewhat similar once adjusted.

Great pads. My son has worn various sizes of these since they came out. Go ahead and buy them. If they are mediums you can double you money selling them if they don't work out.

Just to update, both my son and I have abandoned the CCM masks. It was like trying to breathe through a wetsuit. Using a thin gaiter with earloops.
-
How long were they baked for?

I use that same style gaiter coaching. It gets wet but doesn't seem to effect use. My son is using the CCM mask with a REACT cage- no issues.

So I do really like the Gonzales flag detail on the Stars jersey neck, they should still look more like this:

Or just add a calf flap via velcro tape. I did that with my 5090's.

Knee pads for extra protection beneath my shin pads
Monty22 replied to Deker's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Assuming the pads you have fit correctly, I would just attach an additional piece of protection to extend the top flap. Eagle and I believe Nash make/made segmented pads for mods like this. -
My PeeWee son tried the CCM in practice last night. He gave it a thumbs up. No breathing issues or anything. Has a game Sunday we'll see how it goes.

My son is mandated by the state to wear a face covering when playing center, and only while taking draws. We used a thing gaiter for a few games, but it's just too much of a hassle. I anticipated this being an issue and ordered a couple of the CCM Game On masks to try. They looked like a much better concept than the Bauer offering. They just came in and he'll give it a go Thursday. Hopefully it's not too obtrusive. We've lost several minutes a game in the three we've played so far to kids at the dot trying to pull up/put on a mask. It's already being used as gamesmanship by some coaches to run out the rink clock in close games. Refs have been instructed not to hand out penalties for facemask related issues. Our regular season starts Sunday, hopefully this stuff gets sorted out soon. When I get worked up I try to remind myself that at least they are playing...

The masks (none of them) are designed to protect you from COVID. The point is to prevent possible spread by containing YOUR vaporized droplets.

And there it is. Way out of square. I'm not sure how this guy was sharpening with this thing before.

My apologies if this has been addressed previously in the thread. I picked up the used X02 mentioned earlier. Opened it up to clean and check the spinner and wheel and found the most crap I've ever seen packed into that compartment. So after removing the 2 years of skate dust and cleaning the spinner and remounting the wheel. It looks good. I was able to transfer my PVC exhaust from the X01 to the 02 so it will never look like that again. The issue I'm having is getting the holder dialed in. The setting looked screwy when I picked it up, and I can't seem to get it close to level. One side is way high. Turing the knob to adjust "up" doesn't correlate with a change in the edge height. I've got a calibration block coming on Tuesday, but I'm not 100% sure it's the holder. I tried to sharpen using the holder from my X01 which looks identical but has a black and red logo sticker instead of the blue green one from the X02. I had similar results which leads me to think the wheel is somehow off. Can anyone confirm the X01 and X02 Tri Lie holders are the same? If I can rule a holder issue I can try to narrow it down from there.

No more "team" bottles- kids carry their own due to covid. No carrier, so needed something just big enough for the pucks.

I wore Eastons from about 1992 to maybe 99 or so without issue. Would be hard to go back, but I don't think we knew what we were missing back then. I don't use the Whaler stuff as a rule.

I know they d/c the X01 a couple of years ago. I figured they would keep an offering in that class to compete with other "home" sharpeners like wissota, Sparx, pro sharp etc.
-
Did Blackstone discontinue the X-02? I don't see it on the site anymore. Was able to buy a lightly used once locally to upgrade from my X01. Just curios if the company is getting away from "consumer" targeted models completely?
