  1. I thought this was projected to be a great (cold) winter? I haven't bothered to fill my rink, and 10 day forcast doesn't look promising. 40's + on and off, no consistent below freezing temps.
  2. Both of those requests should be easy. The bigger foot will be accounted for in your measuremets. I specified that the eyelets be "cut back" to accomodate low volume feet and ankles. I would shoot them an email.
  3. Ah, that makes sense. Just a heads up, per customer service at Blackstone, the X01 has been discontinued.
  4. Agreed, but was there a model prior to this one that was less elaborate?
  5. My apologies if I missed it already in this thread, but are there any other options besides the Mag-75 to dress non- Blackstone machines for FBV? Looking for a less expensive option for a friend with a Blademaster portable. Thanks.
  6. No, they flopped because they didn't provide enough of an improvement over conventional blades to make it worth the expense of purchasing the product and switching holders. I was working at a shop when these came out, and we were provided a couple of pairs to test. No ice damage. The steel was decent and sharpened well. The heating element quality was spotty at best and didn't always work. The guys that tested the Thermablades didn't notice any real difference in performance. I believe those conclusions were also reached at the NHL level with their testers as well. The blades were never approved for use at the NHL level and the product just died on the vine.
  7. Damn Frank, best of luck with the surgery.
  8. Came across these Wisniewski pro stocks in my size and in fantastic shape. Fit great without a bake, should be close to perfect once I have the time. Not sold on the white quater pieces though, they may end up dyed black..
  9. Have you reached out to VH to discuss your issue?
  10. This was a story I always found interesting. "Radioactive Boy Scout" David Charles Hahn, dead at 39. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hahn
  11. The sole is all composite. I dont think you could use those T nuts without risking structural damage.
  12. My style role model Pete Burns : I'll take "Ironic Band Names " for $500 Alex..
  13. Looks like Chara has been in VH the last few games.
  14. I would be complaining about the scope in my bum, but that's just me...
  15. Several of the shops near me stopped carrying Graf about a decade or so, primarily due to the "occasional QC" issues that popped up with every shipment. Well, that and the minimal demand wasn't worth the aggravation of dealing with Graf.
  16. Thought these were pretty cool:
  17. Added another pair of Whale gloves to the collection [/URL]
  18. I assume the plastic toe cover is at least part of the culprit. Not sure how much.
  19. Did you paint them white?
  20. This was true in most of North America, due to the reasons cited above- Poor quality control and poor/non existent customer service. Most of the shops near me (Northern CT/Western MA) dropped their accounts over ten ago. The demand was so small (and the problems so bad) that shops could cut them loose without a second thought. Their product "development" reminded me of Sherwood - basically getting left behind clinging to wood sticks when the market changed to OPS and composites.
