My company is really pissing me off. I'm getting tired of working with people that violate federal regs, supervisors that are abusive and a scheduling department that is vindictive. I'm ready for a change.

I just had a new one for a week in Aruba. While I didn't do a ton of highway driving, I did notice that it was better than the old YJ that we had when I was in high school. I would still take the FJ for longer trips, I just miss being able to rip the roof off of the YJ or my old Isuzu Amigo.

That's a big part of the reason I love my FJ. The highway ride is so much better than a Jeep. Unfortunately, the roof doesn't come off.

Yep, you shared that with me years ago. I'm just saying that every time I have seen a palm labelled "digital", it has been thinner than the palms labelled "goat". Not saying that is always the case, just what I have seen with various gloves.

Yes, it is thinner than horse usually is, but not as thin as digital in the cases I've seen.

goat is a slightly tacky leather, it works well to add a little grip to any stick.

I think you are the outlier in the equation. Even the guys around here that skated on 3/4 like 90/75. I don't think any X/50 is going to bite as much as a X/75 in terms of pure gripping power. That said, a number of my guys that came from 1/2" didn't think that 100/50 had enough bite. They are all happy with the 95/75 now. The only guy that I have on 100/50 now is one that always said his skates were too sharp when they were freshly sharpened at 1/2". More than anything, I think it's important to try a couple hollows and see what feels right and works best for you.

I look at them as two different scales. The X/50 scale and X/75 scale, we'll leave any others out of it for now. As you noted, the 50's don't bite as much as the 75's. The chart on the blackstone page gives a pretty good idea where they slot in between each other.

Bittersweet one for me. Our team won the game and the championship series tonight, but I wasn't able to be there for the game. Pretty fitting though as I missed almost half the games for the season. I put up some of my best individual numbers this season and ran a scoring streak from the first game into the playoffs. Now to build on that for next year.

Most of the guys I have that were on 5/8 went to 90/75. Most of them felt that 90/50 had much less bite than they were used to.

Not really a major vent, but my scoring streak with the widow came to an end. This is the first time since I got the stick last summer that I haven't put up any goals or assists in a game. We still got the win, and that was the most important thing, just hate to see a run like that come to an end.

I won't be vindictive and post the weather where I'm going. But first, a playoff game tonight.

I'm very happy to see that I was completely wrong about Hitchcock. It appears that he has changed his ways pretty significantly since his last coaching job. Great for him and great for the Blues.
