  1. But this latest addition was one of the few that I had to google to find out who the heck it was.
  2. Ah, so your dad is collecting disability and working under the table jobs. Thanks, I always like to know my tax money is being used for good.
  3. Because noone holds them accountable.
  4. Looking at the catalog, I see the S19 shaft is supposedly the same Kevlar/Graphite construction that it has always been. I'm curious to see what sites are showing the S19 shaft at 360 grams. Strange that a shaft would be off by almost 25%.
  5. Tons of talk around Boston radio on the booing of Dennis Wideman. I was surprised to hear it so much watching last night's game but I can't say it wasn't somewhat deserved. If his coach and the media calling him out didn't do the trick then maybe hearing it from the fans finally will. He seemed to have a much better game after another dreadful giveaway that wound up in the back of the net. Hunwick has also looked much better the last 2 games. I don't know what his problem was most of the season but he looked timid most of the time out there.
  6. Game was on the deuce, that might have been part of your problem.
  7. Seeing the comparisons, I think the B's would do better getting either Hall or Connolly. Center is the one area (as long as everyone is healthy) where the B's are well set up. Hall would be the first choice since goals are at a premium right now with the B's but having a Forsberg-like guy on the wing, perhaps alongside Bergeron, would be nice. Heck, if the B's end up holding the 2nd pick after the lottery then it might not be a bad idea to trade down to the three spot.
  8. The B's have some cap issues, I believe, so they would be hard pressed to turn the pick into anyone who would be worth it. Their best bet is to hope one of those top two kids makes an instant impact.
  9. It would be a good time to consider stretching the skates.
  10. I'm not sure on the percentage of getting the number 1 pick but I believe the system does work that the worst you can fall in the lottery is one slot.
  11. Word has it he was not liked in the room. Everybody went a little extra hard at him in his first game back in Boston.
  12. I never bought that knock on Kessel. The guy has speed and a great shot, given enough ice time and open ice and he'll score his goals.
  13. There was an "undisclosed upper body injury" in November and I think a hand or finger injury, as well.
  14. I think part of Thomas' problem this season is how hard the B's rode him last season. I've always said Thomas performs best in a tandem role and isn't a Brodeur/Luongo kind of guy that can go 65-70 games. I still wonder if he isn't battling some of the ailments that hindered him early in the season. Goalies get exposed when they're trying to protect or compensate for an injury.
  15. I am far from an advocate for smoking weed but I am just wondering how it would be unethical to do so?
  16. I must have missed "Thou shalt not drink beer or smoke weed" in my CCD classes.
  17. It doesn't have to be a majority of the people, just the right group of people. Plus, some folks get in just because they've been lucky enough to stay around the game long enough, regardless of talent at what they do.
  18. Kaberle doesn't seem to have much desire, period.
  19. When both sides deny it then there is usually something to it.
  20. Dear Leafs, the B's could really use a guy like Taylor Hall so please go on a nice little slide to end the season.
  21. Not a true fan of the whale unless it is your ring tone.
  22. I found that when I made the switch from traditional to FBV that I had to change my hollow from a 1/2" equivalent to a 9/16" equivalent.
  23. The idea is to do it yourself first and then get comments, not fish for ideas. That is lazy.
  24. To an extent, however, when writing a paper you still have to support your position and no teacher will give an "A" just because your position agrees with their's without quality behind it.
  25. That grade might improve if you stop depending on message board folks for help.
