  1. No. They don't have a marketing agreement with us.
  2. It's going to be a 272. That is the correct size. You won't have to drill holes.
  3. To continue with the whole industry landscape thing, our buyer at work sent us the launch calendar for 2017. It's an Excel spreadsheet, and we've had it since 2013 - he just keeps on adding new sheets to it. This includes the entire year - so launches up to December. 2013 - 118 lines 2014 - 114 lines 2015 - 88 lines 2016 - 92 lines 2017 - 45 lines
  4. Yeah, the game has changed quite a bit. With the advent of social media, manufacturers like the ability to control the content. And since I play by the rules, that's why it's so. Not to mention, companies are releasing later now; which is a good thing for retailers. I hope to have a big one done in the coming weeks. We're just trying to work out timing in regards to a couple of products that have a summer launch.
  5. That won't be necessary. Just settled with the seller - bought whatever was left.
  6. Mark - No offense, but this is my brand - I know exactly what happened here. OT used my logo after we did a jersey order with them 12 years ago. We fell short on the numbers for the jerseys and had to buy 20 crests, which we used for the original MSH bags. At the time, we fulfilled our commitment to the jerseys and crests. It looks like they made more. I've had to buy 2 jerseys (one of them purple!) from 13mugs before. And two other MSH members have bought from them as well, and gave them to me. I emailed him back then but they keep on popping up. I just contacted them again and told them I will buy the remainder of them. And if another pops up, I'll serve him with a cease and desist.
  7. The story behind is that more than 10 years ago, we had jerseys made by OT Sports. And judging by the picture, they took our logo and put it on jerseys, and are selling them. So, someone profited from our brand, without our permission.
  8. Pure Hockey sells them for $3. If you're shipping them full and for sale, might be worth it. If you're sending back a broken stick, companies allow you to cut them in half so that you can fit it in a smaller box.
  9. It's simply not necessary to go that far up on the heel, even though plenty of manual sharpeners do it and end up, over time, destroying the heel radius. But it sounds like you don't have a choice. You could go shorter on the toe at well, especially since you do have a sharpened area above it.
  10. Too high on the heel. I'd say half that at the least.
  11. You should be able to sharpen all of those with the standard holder.
  12. What model, brand and size are the youth skates? Same for goal skates.
  13. I prefer the pitch and on-ice feel of Tuuk. Plus, I'm skating on experimental steel, and also prefer LS Fusion when not. Can't get used to the taller steel with LS4.

  15. Sticks - New for 2017 is the 2nd gen XCore product; the XC9 ACF. With a focus on swing weight, the XC9 ACF's balance point was tweaked to improve on that. It was lightened a bit in the shaft and blade - coming in at 415g. Their Braided Rib Tech that debuted on the A6.0 SBP last year has been added to the entire X series line. On the graphics side, the stick was given a bit more color in the upper part of the shaft. Available in all of True's patterns, however, a MC2 was added to the retail lineup. It is a xx9 clone. The stick is coming in at $279.99 USD in senior length. On the youth and junior side, the XC9 is offered in 4 different flexes; it is called the U-Flex. Comes in at 20/30/40/50 flex. The A Series is unchanged for 2017. Gloves - Unchanged for 2017. Pants - This is a new category for True for 2017, and it's an interesting take on the category. Their X-Tec Suspension protective package is in the hip and kidney pads - there is a X strap that goes across the pad on the side that sits against the body, creating a space between the body and the actual pad. Upon impact, it allows for the brunt of the impact to be dispersed, minimizing it as it carries through to the body. Here are some examples: The pant comes in two forward-canted fits, the XC9 which is a fitted pant, and the A6.0 SBP which is a classic fit. They both come with 800 denier nylon, zippers, antimicrobial liner and a 2" height adjustment system that is achieved with grommets. Also to note, the hip pads are cut differently. They are segmented for better flexion. So instead of having a single piece of curved plastic, you have a straight piece running down the pant (like goalie pants used to have) then the actual front hip pad.
  16. You've also never sharpened on a full machine before. The pressure required is different.
  17. Not by then. The MAG-75 is the Spinner dressing mechanism from the standard machine placed on a magnetic base.
  18. Kane wore them first. It's in this thread.
  19. Since Blackstone has been a great partner on MSH for a very long time, I believe it's best to support them in any way we can.
