  1. Im considering a pair of Trues this summer and was wondering if money isnt an issue is the extra $200 for the 'big' skate companies any better or no? In my area custom trues are 999.99, bauers / CCM would be 1200 or so.
  2. Im going to toss this in here and hope it gets answered. I want to get a CCM shell, and was wondering how the Tacks shell would fit over my Nexus 800 pants.
  3. Does Warrior have a square supreme-esque stick?
  4. Looking for a fall team and or something for now if possible. ASHL hockey finder is mad annoying and always gives different results. I know the leagues are signing up now so if anyone needs someone who can play some D for them and will show up weekly DM me. B/C mens league probably makes most sense.
  5. Is there no singular CCM catalogue anymore? This section has got a little confusing to me.
  6. Helmet: Bauer 4500 w/ 580 Elbows: Bauer 4000 Shoulders: Bauer 4000 Shins: Old Eastons Gloves: CCM Tacks 4 rolls Skates: CCM Tack SMU similar to 6052s Pants: Bauer Nexus 900 Sticks: Ribcore pro 85 flex mcdavid, Supreme MX3 85 flex p91a
  7. I wear a pair of Taccks for ice hockey and want a pair of inline skates with a similar fit for some outside play, and walking my dog. Most sites dont seem to carry the current line in many sizes and I was wondering if that means a new line is to be released? If not, Does alkali, or Mission have a similar fitting boot? I need the depth of the Tack so a Supreme fit wont work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  8. I think its a 5092 upgraded or was it the 7092? It was on sale so Im assuming it was from the last generation.
  9. Nothing like a pair of SMUs to get you back in the game, damn those blades look sweet but Ive heard theyre sorta gimmicky tho images not pictured and for good reason is the new 4500 / 480 I bought because of the dreaded glue issues of a 7500 i wore 3x before a 3 year lay off.
  10. Has the fit of the alkalis been changed? The way theyre described on Inline warehouse seems kind of how the Tacks are described a deeper supreme sort of?
  11. This may not be the place for this question but Im looking for an inline with a feet like a supreme but deeper, any suggestions?
  12. Is there a helmet that replaced the fit of the 7500?
  13. isn't that what most people have agreed upon in most of the posts above? And Academia is not immune to capitalism so don't try and argue that for even a second. In todays world its hard to understand the motives when most of the opinions are easily for sale, thats all thats being said.
  14. Also a lack of physical training in young hockey players could be a root problem here... When you're 15/16 and you're legs are getting strong but perhaps not the rest of you, you won't be able to take impacts safely. I had a friend who wouldn't lift weight with me while training for CIS football, he went into an exhibition game and got levelled and was out half the season.
  15. Atheletes have gotten to big and too strong for this type of stuff to be avoidable. Chris Borland from the 49ers RT'd something from neil degrasse tyson saying that a 250lb player moving at like 10-15mph has the same velocity as a bullet (SOMETHING LIKE THAT)... Athletic training has gotten TO GOOD!!
  16. At a first glance it would appear that any amount of $$ Bauer dedicates to marketing has payed off 10 fold. I feel the rotational impact rhetoric that is being abused in hockey marketing has a lot to do with how visible Crosbys concussion (NECK PROBLEMS) was a few years ago. There are angles where the neck is unsafe and no helmet or amount of tech will ever be able to reduce that damage. The unfortunate reality about impact sports is damage comes with them. The videos and science will allow us a lot more then a page of blank stars and what looks like the grand marketing machine at play. I for one will be looking at a Bauer 5100 :D
  17. Haven't you been advising most customers who deal with you to ditch Edge holders for LS holders? Using a vice grip with junior skates to make your point regarding their rigidity?
  18. I bought one for like $40 that you assemble real easy.
  19. My roommates gear with mine. The dry raks come clutch. I haven't been on the ice in a few weeks so I'm not looking forward too the smell when I wake up tomorrow after we play tonight. Theres a fan, and an open vent directly out of the house but it all only works so well.
  20. helmet: Bauer 7500 Chest Protector: Bauer 4000 Elbow pads: Bauer 4000 Pants: Nexus 800 Gloves: RBK 5k Shins: Old Eastons Skates: MX3's Stick: TO NXG
  21. tight heel, wider throughout the rest?
  22. Inline warehouse describes it more similar too a Nexus then a Supreme. I've been curious about Mission too and have supreme foot.
