THANKS BUD! Had the procedure yesterday. The stented the distal artery - something they don't usually do. Apparently its really low down and they say people don't typically feel effects from blockages there (it was also only 70% blocked). For any of you that know me though, I am far from typical so yea, of course it impacted me!! The procedure went well and I actually do feel a bit different and better today. Hopefully that's not just my brain convincing me of that and this is it! Fingers crossed!! I am optimistic this morning!

ok... first off I think they are fugly... like it's 3am, I'm still at the bar and the chick at the end must have lost 40 lbs over the course of the night come on honey lets do this fugly! 2nd... I had Vector pros and liked them and thought they were pretty cool looking. 3rd.. at this point I will wear whatever fits me best and helps me skate better.

The project was incredibly educational and I think really educated many of us who had never heard about profiles before. I know I shared what I had learned with my teammates who now also have begin to seek better profiles and improve their game. It is a pathetic that some people took advantage. Things like that ruin it for everyone else. Thank you for all you did with this. I know that personal sacrifice was involved.

I can't compare to the AS2Pro because I don't have one (and I haven't been on the ice much either due to f-ing Covid) but I can tell you the blade on my Tacks, Ultra Tacks and my Super Tacks 2.0 are amazing. Lots of feel and not pingy at all.

So the angiogram on Monday revealed a new blockage and they did another stent. That brings the total to 4! I have a growing collection of titanium in my chest! "I am Ironman!!" This spot was only 30% blocked in March and now it was 85% blocked. It should not have happened. My Ldl level is rock bottom low (25) and I've lost 24 lbs so its not that. The surgeon and the cardiologist think that when they did the last angioplasty that area might have gotten irritated and the swelling led to increased blockage. I guess I have to hope that they are right because the other option means I am getting massive uncontrolled build up. Not a good sounding scenario to be sure. I guess since my surgeon is one of the preeminent guys in the field and does 1500 a year I have to trust his theory,. For now time to rest and recover and then back on the ice!!

Some might recall I had three stents put in on March 2nd. Been a great recovery - lost 24 lbs and got my Ldl down to 25 - but now I am feeling some "stuff" when exercising. Weakness in left arm and chest "twinges." It might all be in my head because I am insane but after consulting with my cardiologist I am going in for another angiogram next Monday (10/26). Hoping its nothing. this time around.

I have always worn a neoprene sleeve on each knee for support. Its not a knee pad but des provide some cushion. Might want to give it a try.

Yes and it was fine weight wise IMHO but I am used to already carrying around my big fat head! You cannot use it with a visor. It needs to attach to either a bubble or a cage.

UPDATE: Played last night using the CCM and was very pleasantly surprised. I was able to breathe easily and my vision was not impaired. As far as I am concerned it is clearly more effective and my concerns proved not to be an issue. Regarding effectiveness, with all due respect to my friend @IPv6Freely, we should most definetley be talaking about effectiveness. That's the whole point of the product! Now there is no way this is gonna be tested by the CDC or FDA but I do think we can apply some common sense. Neither is an N95. We get that. Neither hermetically seals your face in! But the CCM is surely going to stop more than the Bauer. Frankly, if all players in leagues would wear the CCM mask or other mask then we'd be able to play fairly safely. But... if everyone was just wearing the Bauer we wouldn't be any safer. And that's pretty damming Is the Bauer a cash grab? I don't know.... I don't quite care either. I'm just looking to lower my risk.
