Player Background: Beer leaguer. I play on two teams. One is C division as a forward and the other is in E division where I get to play defense. As a forward I look to move the puck to the more skilled players as quickly as I can. Puck feel and being able to shoot and load the puck quickly are critically important to me. I have been playing with the CCM Tacks line since it debuted. I fell in love with the P46 curve as it had enough curve for me to cradle and handle the puck but the lie was flatter than the P92 I had been using for years. The last few Tack’s variants however have changed a lot and I was less and less happy with them. I had always loved True sticks back when I was using a P92 and then I saw this stick on Sideline Swap…. A True A6.0 P46 pro stock (Cody Glass). I hemmed and hawed not being sure it was exact and then took the plunge and bought it. It is an exact clone! I am now using this as my go to stick and have sold off part of my stock of CCMs! P46 75 Flex Grip Blade/Feel: For me being able to feel the piuck on my stick and pick head up with confidence is critically important. This stick does the job as good or better as anything I have tried before. Puck feel on the blade is quickly transmitted up to your hands and you really know where on the blade the puck is. This provides me with more confidence than ever. The blade is also really stiff and the puck flys off and arrives on target. Receiving passes is also great. The foam core in the blade softens impact nicely. I have read some reviews that were concerned about blade durability, but I have a lot of play on this stick and the blade has neither chipped, split or deadened. The only caveat here is that because this is pro-stock I am not sure I have the standard blade. Comparing it to retail sticks I have seen and played with it appears to be, but I cannot be 100% sure. Score: 10/10 Shaft/Flex: We all know that this is True’s bread and butter and this is no different. The design aesthetics are pleasing. Subtle blues, greys and black on blacks. Really nice. This is a grip stick as all seem to be these days but it is not very grippy. Feels nice. The shaft loads up quickly and easily and fires pucks cleanly at the net. Its not the very best shaft I have ever used – that’s reserved for my dear, departed Miken. That said, energy transfer is superb and I really love the way this shoots. Wrist shots and slappers are all on par with some of the best I have shot. Release is just as quick as many low kicks too. A lot of my shots are off balance (because I am often off balance!!) and this stick allows me to shoot well from every situations. Score: 9/10 Weight: This stick weighs in at 415g and that’s fairly light to begin with. But when you compare it side by side to other sticks in the same weight class it feels MUCH lighter. The answer, of course, is balance and True has totally nailed it! Score: 10/10 Shooting: Shots fly off the stick. Accurate and hard is something I would struggle with and this stick really provides me with improvements in bit categories. The stiff blade and responsive and the mid kick shaft flexes where your lower hand is. I find the release quick and the loaded shaft transferring power well leading to accurate, hard shots. Score: 9/10 Durability: Again, I read some reviews with complaints but my blade has held up really well. I have some white scrape lines on the lower shaft near the blade but that’s it. The shaft is beast mode strong and while the weight of the stick and blade make me feel that it might snap it never has. I’ve got lots of play on this stick and it’s still going real strong. Score: 10/10 Verdict: This stick is up there with one of my favorite sticks of all time. I am so happy with the A6.0 SBP that I am selling off my CCM stock. Never thought that would happen. Final Score: 9.5/10

STEP 1 - Listen and learn!! STEP 2 - Listen more! OK.... now that this is established, the head coach will set the parameters. Look for his lead and follow. Hopefully he will review the practice plan with you before. If he asks for input feel free. If not be prepared to execute. Get the cones ready. Help position the players. During practice, if there is something you can help a player with then do so. As far as changing the perceptions of other players, that happens over time and it is earned. Be serious but approachable. Don't push the envelope but you are not their friend anymore either. Be patient. Be a teacher. Enjoy the experience, work hard. Get the cones out. Be prepared to demo all the drills and run them to perfection.

Update.... I have now played 3 games on the Quad 1. The first game I had increased stability up front and more confidence going into high traffic player where contact would occur. Game two also felty good but I think I used a bit too much stone. I was grabbing a bit and turning was compromised. Last game was the charm. Lighter stone and maybe some of that new edge is wearing off too. Turns and crossovers were great and stability too. Very pleased. At some point I will pop in a Quad0 to compare it too.

Bought a long sleeve tee shirt.... yeah!! Hope it's fire retardant.

I wonder if each manufacturer could have their own channel where people could interact in a forum with them and they could post their latest offerings. Maybe even video breakdowns of products.

Triple Radius - 9'/50mm/10.5' Steel:STEP 272 Hollow:100/50 FBV About Me: I have been playing 17 years since the age of 34. As a player that came to the game later in life I struggle with edgework, high speed stability and tight turns. I am typically strong on my skates in battles in front. I have been looking to move towards shallower hollows to increase glide while still maintaining a confident edge and increasing stability. About a year ago I moved from a 9’ rocker LS2 to STEP Quad 0. I felt that the Quad 0 was pretty revolutionary for me and enabled me to go from playing on a 100/50 (3/8 equivalent) to a 100/50 (1/2” equivalent). I found I had more steel on the ice, especially under my heel and that my turns, push off and stability were better. While more stable than my 9’ rocker, however, I still felt I had room for improvement. That is what led to my participation in the Pro Sharp project. Review: I came off the ice having just tried and been pretty comfortable with the Quad 1. While I had a fairly decent idea what the Quad 1 would feel like, I had no clue what glide would feel like. I took a first step on the ice and immediately was confronted with a radically different feel from either of the quads. I think the best way for me to describe it is “water skis!” This profile felt radically long… so much so that I felt incredible bite and depth in the ice. It was very uncomfortable, but I was committed to following the protocol, so I stuck through it. The first few laps were spent just working on pushing off and then progressed to crossovers. The increased bite had an opposite impact on my stability and instead of making me more stable it made me less so. My balance was compromised and transitions from front to back were nearly impossible and gave me quite a fright. Needless to say I couldn’thave been happier when my 15 minutes was up!! Mobility:1 Stability: 2 Speed: 2 Acceleration: 2 Other profiles on deck: Having tried this, the quad 1 and quad 0 I will try the quad 1 in a game and also get a freshly profiled quad 0 to compare it to.

Quad 1 - 6’-9’-12’-15’. Steel:STEP 272 Hollow:100/50 FBV About Me: I have been playing 17 years since the age of 34. While more stable than my 9’ rocker, however, I still felt I had room for improvement. That is what led to my participation in the Pro Sharp project. Review: The Quad 1 was the first set of steel I chose to demo because I wanted to see the difference between the 0 and the 1. My first impression on my first strides was that it certainly felt longer in the toe and somewhat more in the back. The truth is that this is not the case…. The rear of the Quad 1 is longer and the front is the same. Nevertheless, that is how it felt to me. My first few laps were a bit choppy as I got used to the longer radius but I quickly got comfortable. Push offs were solid and crossovers had more stability than the quad 0. Transitions were smooth, feeling, feeling more or less identical to the quad 0. After my 15 minutes I felt that this was steel worth trying furtherin game play and might be worth spending more time with. Mobility:3.5 Stability: 4 Speed: 3.5 Acceleration: 4 Other profiles on deck: The next set up in my trial program is a “glide” radius - 9'/50mm/10.5'

Not sure I can help there other than to raise the question of why members both on the forum and on reddit have raised questions about your credibility. Perhaps it’s because you are too outspoken and present yourself as an expert in many areas. Perhaps it’s a style thing. Regardless for your own sake it is worthy of some self examination. Or, if as you say, you don’t care, then ignore me and others. That’s fine too. -

And that's fair but needs to be established. It raises the question if he has, in fact, been asked to do this by True or not. -

Matters for a few reasons. First and foremost is the establishment of credibility in this community. When one speaks to their own expertise and qualifications some support of that is a reasonable request. You have, after all, been pretty outspoken. Second, is the fact that you stated that you were servicing certain teams when typically they are serviced directly through True. This bears some scrutiny and a follow up as to why the teams would use you and not the manufacturer. In the end, the community will decide whether it believes you or not and sharing more information about your store and your expertise can only help in that regard, -

Kickbacks, no.. but it would be damn nice to see manufacturers buying advertisements. They sure do get enough out for the site and their support of it is essential to it's success. -
Well, last Tuesday I had to put my dog to sleep. It was truly one of the worst days of my life and the whole week has been so dark with him. He was an amazing, funny, smart, kooky, crazy beast and I will always miss him.

He was on Cerni post surgery. He is still eating and seems ok for the most part until today. Today he he didn't want to walk and I was really worried but he seems ok around the house now. Probably just a matter of time.

You can move the counterpoint but I don't think that would help. I won't put myself in the expert category by any means but I've spoken to those that are and what I hear repeated over and over is that you have to try a few different profiles and dial in what really works for you. Stay tuned on MSH for the opportunity!!
