gorgeous skate guards....the skates aren't bad either! :)
-
absolute beauties! I have similar colors but a base of navy on the pair they're making me right now. when did you put your order in? Gefiltefish, when did you put yours in?
-
they are from Demitra's time with the Kings though I haven't been able to photomatch them yet.

I have a pair of Thrashers pro stock Hustlers but I haven't had a chance to play in them yet because the original player had the ab protector removed. I got a replacement from Joe at Warrior but haven't had a chance to sew it in. I definitely think that the Bonafides are more true to size than the Hustlers. they seem just as protective as the Hustlers. I do wish the zippers were a little more forward. color combos were why I took a chance on these. sadly though it looks like the team I bought them for will be splitting after this season.
-
two new items: Warrior Bonafide pants: Gloves won on Ebay the night BEFORE the Lokomotiv crash: I was going to try to remove the autographs so I could play with them. certainly won't be doing that now.

NICE! I recently got a used pair for my gf. she skated in them for the first time tonight and LOVED them. :)

Custom Glove Gallery (questions and answers)
shoeshine boy replied to elpresidente99's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
try the "team" option. make sure you un-select the 14" Franchise that's pre-selected. -
I heard about that and boy did it piss me off! I would've LOVED a shot at Burmistrov's and Enstrom's gloves. I was actually surprised that the guys at the practice rink managed to squirrel anything away.
-
most likely a repainted SE16. I was very unimpressed with the stick selection, even for lefties. talking to the rink guys before the masses got there they told me that all this stuff was stuff that had been "stashed away" when True North came to pack everything up.
-
you have to remember though, our team is now gone so there's no reason to be jealous of us. :( helmets were a good deal at $40, especially the M11 which is a $100+ helmet. other prices weren't as good as usual such as last fall when I got a pair of new Warrior Hustler pants for $30 but still in the "fair" category. oh, and I may end up kicking myself for not picking up Kovalchuk's white helmet which was $75

I was there about 11. it was me and one other guy in line when they said, "you can go ahead and let the pre-sale people in!" which turned out to be us. we had the run of the place for about 15 minutes. :) I did see that one Franchise. wish it had a mate. I thought that I had matched a pair of Boulton's Easton gloves until I realized one had yellow accents on the 4 rolls and the other didn't. :( one woman had Bryan Little's gloves but the palms were shredded so I passed.

my haul from the Thrashers' final Atlanta sale: top row: Warrior bag (Ron Hainsey) 2nd row: Messier M11 helmet 3rd row l to r: navy practice jersey, Rebellion gloves (no name), CCM Vector helmet (white), Easton pants (Jim Slater) 4th row: Mission gloves (Brad Larsen), CCM Vector helmet (navy, decals and numbers), CCM Vector helmet (navy, no decals) bottom row: practice socks, 3rd jersey socks, workout shorts. prices were decent but not as great as last Fall. glove selection was disappointing. they had one box of single gloves that had a Warrior Creeper. it KILLED me that there was no mate to it. :( my teammate got the best item of the sale though for $5. a very special nameplate:

13. I find it hard to believe that the Sedins hands are that small. The Luxes have had a few owners. Great gloves though.

it was like Christmas at my house today! custom Pens style Luxes made in Canada NOT China: Bauer X:60 Pro All Star Sedin

if I had his source I wouldn't give it up either!

Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread
shoeshine boy replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I already have a Wissota that I've had long before the X01 came out. my Wissota does a fine job. no complaints whatsoever. if I was looking for a new one I'd probably give the Blackstones a serious look but as a beer league player I don't think I'm going to see enough upside to justify trashing a perfectly good machine and spending almost $1,000 on a new one. if it was a few hundered bucks I'd consider it. pretty cool though that you can buy the stand alone dresser if you need it though. -

I may have found the answer myself on Blackstone's website but the conversion kit cost almost $2K? -

I have a teammate who claims one of the local shops is doing FBV but not with a Blackstone machine. for some reason I thought FBV was a Blackstone specific thing so my question is this: can you do FBV on other machines? -
I like'em. :) even though the fingers are one piece they're still pretty mobile. did you repalm them with the digital or did you receive them that way?

2 recent pickups: Nagy's Eagle X72 Bauer X:60 Team Canada edition
-
funny you should mention those.....I bought'em off him!
-
no kidding! I was just going to post that he need to start sharing with the rest of us but then he put up several pairs for sale at reasonable prices. :)
