Custom Glove Gallery (questions and answers)

QFT mustang is so much softer and more comfortable that it's ridiculous. so far in my experience it hasn't gotten "pilly" the way that nash does. -
I wish they had plastic inserts but for $169 shipped including the mustang palms I just couldn't say no. my latest Ebay find, IMO the best pants CCM ever made, the Supra 420: the seller had them mis-labeled as goalie pants but I knew they weren't. these are absolutely in brand-new condition! the 420 and the 1052 are the ONLY pants I've ever worn.

couldn't resist the sale on PSHG.com this past weekend:

I definitely prefer the feel of Mustang and MSH2 to Micronash but I guess I just always assumed that because Warrior wouldn't offer warranty on the "performance palms" that it meant that they weren't as durable. I'll have to start using my mustangs more often. :) -

are you sure that's most to least? I always thought folks said that the MicroNash was MORE durable than the Mustang not less? -

they also mentioned getting a team graphic on the thumb. has anybody done that or know what the upcharge is for it? -

+1. I had a pair of pro Bully's with the embroidered logo. I think the screen actually ends up looking better and I've never had one peel or wear off. -
love the green Eagles. are those your customs or are they like the rest of your gloves?
-
just a guess but those are probably part of the "home/away" pairs that were offered by retailers such as Total Hockey.

I'm using the second from the top.

finally had a holiday weekend (Confederate Memorial Day. really. look it up) to put up my glove racks: still need a few more pegs......

if you follow the link in the Ebay thread and look at the sellers other items you'll see them listed there.

you got a good haul. I couldn't go this year and quite frankly don't have room because I haven't sold the stuff I got 2 years ago. how were their prices this year?

I'm not sure. I bought these off of Ebay from a seller in Windsor who seemed to have quite a few pairs of "custom" Warrior gloves. looking at the customizer I figure it has to be the "golden yellow" because it and "brass" are the only yellow colors offered in carbon and it's definitely not brass. -

the left is the blooming, right is the old standard. -

here ya go: I like both cuffs but prefer the blooming because I think it has more mobility than the standard. -
though I'm not a fan of the Eastons made for the Thrashers for that season I have to disagree about the overall color combo for them being "ugly". look at Kovy's Thrasher gloves. some of the best Warriors ever designed and who cares if they're a bad team? some of us like the more unusual designs. on another note, there's a guy playing in the higher levels of the adult league with a pair just like this that Easton had made for Kovalchuk. I imagine that he never even put them on.

that was kind of the point that I was trying to make. not sure why the Warrior Canada people wouldn't oblige when the Warrior USA customer folks were making it happen seemingly very easily. -
yes. the gloves in the auction pic were the same except that the "Warrior" on the cuff was white with blue outline. mine is (obviously) blue with white outline.

Red, White and Navy Franchises bought off of Ebay: slightly different than the gloves that were pictured. not a big enough deal to complain about but I dropped the seller a note to let him know that he shouldn't do that.

Warrior AK27 Pro gloves blacked out with India Ink: a few spots have turned out kind of "shiny" and I have no idea why. you can kind of see it on the index finger of the left glove. any ideas how to fix this?

I don't know, I don't read the reply I got from Warrior Canada (posted on the previous page) that way at all and if that were the case why wouldn't PSHG just tell me that instead of saying, "we'll ask but can't guarantee."? as previously stated it seems like a customer service problem on Warrior Canada's end. -

I never thought that I was going to get the Hossa cuff for no upcharge in price. I stated very clearly to PSHG that I was willing to pay the upcharge. they said that they would ask but couldn't guarantee. fair enough. my gripe isn't with PSHG, my gripe is with Warrior Canada. there is absolutely no reason that they shouldn't be able to accommodate these requests at time of order for the extra charge as evidenced by the fact that shops going through Warrior USA are doing the work for the extra fee. it sounds like Warrior will be adding cuff options to the customizer in a few months so maybe it'll all be moot anyway. if/when I order another pair of Franchise customs I will be going through a shop that deals with Warrior USA. Warrior Canada clearly has some customer service issues evidenced by the fact that it took over a month for me to get a reply. I paid over $250 for my gloves so I expect better customer service than 5 weeks to reply to an email.
