Got bored and whited out the bottom of the Easton. I followed the original spot where it faded from blue to silver. Looks pretty good I think.
-
Those Mission's are so sick. I wish I needed new skates, I'd get a pair of those NME's.
-
From the ones I've seen, a big huge mid curve. It literally looks like a banana.
-
Awesome curve you've got on it. I'm so jealous of the lefties and the nice curves you guys get to choose from. I'm really liking the shaft so far too. You can almost just flick your wrists and still load it up and get some good speed on your shot. Slappers don't feel all that bad to me, but that's because I've been using a 75 flex for a few months now. I wish I could find some of these on closeout and stock up on a few.
-
I just got the same shaft. 70 Flex, pulled the plug, cut an inch off. I put a Warrior Saprykin pro stock blade in it, fells light, just a little blade heavy. I'm going to cut another inch off an put a 1 inch plug in the end (I usually leave the shaft open on my OPS) to balance it a little better. I won't mind it being slightly heaveir as it's very light right now. I'll put up a pic tonight. I really like mine so far. I'm coming from a Dolomite 75 flex, and I really feel like my shot's harder with this thing. It doesn't feel too whippy, and it's lighter than the Dolomite shaft. A little blade heavy because of that, but it still has pretty good balance. The Harrow blade I put in it isn't the lightest one around, so I think if I put an Easton or Warrior blade in it, it'd have better balance. Plus, I wanted to try a shorter stick, and this being 1" shorter than the Dolo uncut is a plus as well. Right now it's about the same length and flex as most intermediate sticks, so now I know whether I could use/buy an intermediate and be happy with it.

Damnit I wanted those Blake gloves. How's the palm on them??
-
Man those are sick gloves. I'd like a set, but I don't think I have enough dangles to go with them
-
The other two things the deliveryman brought to my house this week. Maroon Tackla Air 9000's, with an old St Louis Blues shell to go over them. I love the Tackla's.

Postman dropped off some new booty today. Synergy II 70 flex shaft. Harrow blade, #4 curve. They say it's a toe curve, but I'd say no. Gonna put this in the Synergy and see how it feels.
-
You know what's weird is I asked the guy to give me the codes on the 75 flex Kessel One95's they had, and they don't say XXXX on them like your 77 flex ones do. Maybe the 75 flex ones are actual One95's?? Hell I dono, this pro stock thing's confusing.

In celebration of the millionth view, can you put up these mythical pictures of your stick collection I keep hearing about?? I've never been able to find them.

Un-Written Rules of Hockey
HattrickSwayze replied to DoublinUp's topic in General Hockey Discussions
Your scrimmages sound like a lot of fun Joe. It's cool that you can play check and no-checking at the same time. As far as screening goalies go, most of the pick-ups I do are basically scrimmages set-up by one person. Since it's closer to an actual game than just a shinny or pick-up session, I don't see any problem with screening the goalies. In a game of shinny/pick-up I probably would do it to mess around with the goalie, since I normally joke around with anybody I play with. If he/she didn't like it, I wouldn't do it. It's just a game for fun anyways. -
Un-Written Rules of Hockey

How about if you're playing a game of pick-up/shinny with people in full gear, atleast put your shin pads on? If nothing else it saves me from feeling bad when I accidentally bean you in the knee cap. -
Nice setup with the gear. Are those the NCAA pro return pants that The Hockey Shop sells? How do you like them? I contemplated buying a set.

2009 Reebok Catalogue
HattrickSwayze replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2009 Product Catalogue Reviews
So where exactly do the 6K composite sticks fit in at compared to last years models? Would it be safe to assume the 6K is similar to last years 5K? -
Here's the WinnWell's I got from Peranis/Hockeyworld. I got the XR55 "pro stocks" and the G-Lites. XR55 synthetic leather covering on the gussets G-Lites cover on the palm The cover on the palm of the G-Lites is like a grippy, rubber material. I haven't seen anything like it on gloves I've seen before. I'm a little skeptical to how it's going to feel when I use them. They feel really good out of the box though, like they're already broken in. Finger length is a little shorter than my X72's, and about as tight on the fit. No plastic inserts on the backhand, just the fingers. They feel cheaper than the XR55's, but they're not bad at all for the cost. The XR55's are really stiff. I think it's a combination of the foams on the glove (a little stiffer than what's on my X72's, and plastic inserts on all of it), the synthetic leather over the tips of the gussets, and just not being broken in at all. The gloves are rubbing my knuckles raw right now, like my X72's did at first. I think once they get broken in they'll be pretty nice. Fit is about the same as the G-Lite, and overall they feel pretty good. I don't know what the main palm material is on the gloves (nash?) but it's really soft. I'm pretty happy with them for $25 and $30 gloves, respectively.
-
Those Grabovski Warrior's are beautiful. I love gloves in red/white/blue anyways, but those look especially nice.
-
You have a set of X72's in 14" right? How do those fit compared to the X72's?
-
Those look really nice, especially with the black laces. I'm thinking about doin the same thing with my One75's.
-
Those aren't the stock tongues are they? If not, what kind are they?
-
I hopped on the black skate bandwagon and put a little paint on my One75's. The paint on the tendon guards is holding up pretty well, but it scrapes off pretty easily from the heel cup. I didn't sand it or anything, so that's probably why. I think it looks a lot better than the regular silver though. Didn't bother anything with the tongue because I put it under my shin pads.
-
I've thought about doing the same thing, but I just don't know how well the paint will stick to it. The tendon guard is pretty glossy and slick. I'm hesitant to try and scuff the material up because if the paint doesn't stick, it's gonna look like shit.
-
Ooh nice One75's. Did you buy those tongues off of here? I wanted to buy those but someone got them before me. How do you like the tongue compared to the One75's tongue? I wasn't sure if I'd like the plastic insert or not.
-
That top curve looks like a mirrored version of the Kovalchuk blade I had. Whose curve is it?? Regardless, those are nice. Must be nice to be a lefty.
-
The blade looks a lot like what's on my 7V pro stock.
